Wasn't all the manifesto stuff posted on faceberg and /v/?I personally think his tied to the shooter or at least tangentially connected.
Im going to go off the assumption that the files @fag0t shared in his post was not accessible from anywhere else publicly until he idiotically posted it on kiwifarms. I could guess that he probably may have known the shooter personally or had close relations or interactions with the shooter which leads me to believe that he either:
- Knew he was going to do the shooting but neglected to alert proper authorities.
- @fag0t and the shooter may have planned the shooting out. Gave instructions to that idiot on how to build those stupid ass tard guns and wanted to post his stupid ass manifesto to Kiwifarms because Null's policy about retractions is well-known around this corner of the internet.
- He's part of small, unknown and organized radical group that only communicates online (See AtomWaffen for an example)
- Or simply, @fag0t idiotically egged him on to do this dumbass shooting.
This could be the feds are just trying to connect him to an unrelated crime but I think it's unlikely.
EDIT:
-Also considered that the files he shared may have been publicly available but @fag0t may have not gotten from the public. Remember they have the Halle's shooters hard drive and other stuff so they probably could've seen some chat logs between the Halle shooter and @fag0t discussing things but they may need Null's IP logs to prove the connection.
If I was a fed the first thing I would do is invest a couple of bucks to get a true and honest. "trust me I am not narc" badge. Or I would behave like Corbin Dallas Multipass and everyone would just think I was one of his socks.Only trust true & honest kiwis.
No. These scum have no interest in 'investigating' anything. They just want to cause problems for humans.Could they be wanting to see the user's details to ensure he WASN'T the same person that originally uploaded them?
Given the 24 hour data retention policy, would it not be worth making it a policy to ban any users whose information is requested in future? Would help ensure that you didn't get any additional data to be forced to hand over. They want more than publicly available information, they want the IP of the poster so they can fuck with them.
Well, now you see what their real motives are. They always said they were defending the untouchables to protect everyone else. Now you see that they never were content neutral- they were always there to defend pornographers, pedophiles, takfiri terorrists, and communists because they supported them. With the occasional actual victim thrown in to muddy the waters a little.listened to the stream, null wasn't very specific but sounds like the EFF gave him the cold shoulder in all this...
I don't have a ton of faith invested in these lobbies, but I guess I expect more high mindedness from them. if they allow the government to set precedents when prosecuting the untouchables then they're not protecting anyone's freedom, just ensuring our rights get a controlled demolition.
It's not a bad idea for sensitive stuff- though the description is bizarre. To elaborate on this, the idea is to connect to one VPN connection (perhaps on your base operating system), then connect to another VPN connection (perhaps within a VM connecting via the VPN that the base OS is connecting to) where the access to the second goes through the first. With only one VPN provider it's probably more secure than a single VPN connection, or the stupid 'double VPN' options Nord et al offer where your traffic goes first to one of the provider's servers and then is forwarded on through another. With two unrelated providers*, you actually should get a decent privacy benefit. Better yet, use Tor Browser within that VM as well.Incidentally given that VPN connections are so cheap these days, why not set up a parallel VPN.
I’m confused. Why do they want the info of someone who posted some other dude’s manifesto? How is that a crime? What are they actually investigating?
For what ever reason, it seems to be translation thing. One of the documents uploaded was labeled 'マニフェスト' and googlefu translator says it's Japanese for manifesuto. I'm guessing that's how manifesto is translated into japanese.Did anyone notice that the third link has a typo in it? In the original thread it was "manifesuto", not "manifesto".
To the feds watching the farms, I am currently looking for a job and am willing to be paid in tendies and good boy points. Head on over to my profile page where you can find links to my LinkedIn page and reddit account so you know I'm legit.

If I was a fed I'd be looking at getting myself into the less public stuff like the discords, Skype groups, and PM chains.
achievement for being arrested for KF posts when?
I don't really think the point of using a VPN or Tor is to be totally safe. It's to make it so ZOG has to tip their hand if they want to arrest you. Obviously CP, literal terrorist plots, buying massive amounts of drugs... can and should make the list of things worth the hassle. It's people's hope that stuff like torrenting otherwise legal entertainment, criticizing the Jews, and questioning modern society and various historical inaccuracies won't be a big enough deal to actually do the arduous work of finding out who they are to either arrest or flag for further surveillance/automatic job or clearance, permit... rejection (oh and also protection from corporate surveillance for similar reasons as well as simple privacy for its own sake).Look, the only time I use Tor or a VPN is to hide from my ISP (torrrenting), not the government. In the US, if the government wants to come after you, they will. Unless you're doing something criminal/illegal it's a waste of time/money.
And by illegal, I mean CP, ISIS or overthrow the Zog type of things (buying drugs, sex and credit card numbers are also bad things to do). Torrenting may be illegal but I seriously doubt the Feds care about torrenting an abandonware game for OS9. Look at the attachments in this post. They already know.
And if you are able to cover your nefarious activity online, they can always gain physical access to your hardware. Modern hardware already has backdoors but even if you go back to using an AMD K6 you can't hide.
I'm actually curious because I'm not sure, and I want to make it very clear I am not in such a position nor would I ever be because I would report any crime or plot I somehow learned about which once again would never happen because I don't associate with any people who would ever commit one. Is it illegal to not report a crime or to not report a plot for a crime which you suspect or have heard of but are otherwise totally uninvolved?- Knew he was going to do the shooting but neglected to alert proper authorities.
Not a lawyer and I rather differ to @AnOminous on this one but you don't have to report your immediately family member or spouse because of conflict of interest. But I'm pretty sure if its some random you have a duty to report it. Could be wrong though. If hypothetically, my mom said she was going to rob a bank tomorrow, would I have to report that to the authorities in the US?
The only protected category is spouseNot a lawyer and I rather differ to @AnOminous on this one but you don't have to report your immediately family member or spouse because of conflict of interest. But I'm pretty sure if its some random you have a duty to report it. Could be wrong though.
I'm pretty sure you are allowed to report an immediate family member who has committed or is about to commit a crime.
I understand your speculation but I don't think any of this runs that deep. Some of the shit he posted is here in this thread in post #24. Go look at it.No. These scum have no interest in 'investigating' anything. They just want to cause problems for humans.
My personal speculation would be that this is part of the overall Zionist plot against home manufacture of firearms. New York state (and possibly feds in New York, don't know) has been right up there in trying to block the hero Cody Wilson's dissemination of INFORMATION about firearms. They may speculate that the user in question was a home gunsmithery enthusiast, and may have had communication with the somebody who tried to do something in Halle, so they want to use this as part of their attacks on freedom of speech particularly as it relates to firearms blueprints/3d printing data.
You're right, I misread that. The issue isn't conflict of interest exactly, but close enough. The question was whether you're required to and generally you aren't.
