He's looking at around 5k to retain a respectable criminal defense lawyer for the taser case; I could see his legal fees easily extending beyond 8-10k. Then his civil case is nearing closer which would be another pile of cash in legal fees if he were to retain counsel for that. I don't think he plans very far ahead.

I think him getting attention and antagonizing the general public, kind of throwing the fact that he's a perv in everyones face without actually saying it is more important than the event itself. He gets off on this shit for some reason. Just like the video where he's filming in the pool. He's making it obvious that he's a perv without coming out and saying it, and loves that it disgusts / pisses people off.
Not sure why he wants people to harass that person specifically though. He does a lot of shit that doesn't make much sense.

The apology, IMO, was because he was scared. He’d been banking on the notion that he was a “protected class” and could get away with anything. Then the BCHRT told him no, and he realised that no one will leap to his defence if his past misdeeds come back to bite him. What we know of his pedo antics may only be the tip of the iceberg - if this blew up, there may be others we don’t know about who come forward, perhaps with worse allegations.
Wonder if she told him he couldn’t attend.

So he was silent for two weeks. It looks like he got a Twitter suspension. And, far from my earlier idea that he was going radio silent to avoid jeopardizing his future cases in the way he ruined his BCHRT case, he's tweeting the same sort of shit he used to tweet. In this case, he's pretty much telling people to harass the person organizing the All Bodies Swim event. My guess is that he tried to attend, got told he was outside the 13-18 age range and decided to dox the organizer.
And look at his apology. It's a complete generic non-apology apology, where he admits to no real wrongdoing at all.

Goddamn, took the words right out of my mouth. I'm loosing track on all these "all body swim meets" but I do remember jon starting to neglect mentioning the upper age bounds whenever he promoted these. You see why I have repeatedly defaulted to the following three options over the past year as this saga unfolded.
- he is a greedy idiot trying to get as much negative attention as possible to incite people into doing shit he can sue for
- he is a sickfuck idiot trying to get as much negative attention as possible because he gets off to it and gains sexual gratification from bullying those he deems subhuman who he doesnt think will fight back
- he is a narcissistic idiot trying to get as much negative attention as possible to build up his profile to make himself famous as some "controversial personality"
There is just too much blatant shit like this for him to be acting with any sincerity, yet his continued scummy manipulative opportunism suggests that this aint some sudden onset mental illness or stroke or brain damage.

This is my working hypothesis - he thinks he can monetize his notoriety by being a 'controversial trans rights activist' the media haul on as a talking head. Sort of like Munroe Bergdorf.
Though if he's trying that he's fucked it up. Bergdorf gets away with racism against white people because the media see it as 'punching up' and love that shit. They're a lot less keen on racism when it is 'punching down' towards people of color like Indians.
Also if he's getting Twitter suspensions it shows that the Powers That Be at tech companies have decided to do all they can to take him out of the spotlight. CBC avoided writing about him as much as they could. The Guardian denounced him. Not a good sign if you're going for media stardom.
And if course if you're a tranny mod at Twitter trying to push trans rights Yaniv is the exact opposite of the sort of person you'd want to promote. He's blatantly preying on young women, immigrants and those poor oppressed POCs. Not very helpful to the intersectional coalition. The fact that people like the Ogre disowned him probably has consequences too. I think the Powers That Be - SJW mods at Twitter and journos at CBC/Guardian basically - would rather he fell down a deep hole and disappeared and they could promote someone a bit more sympathetic in his place.

As regards this pool event, this one is right in my neighborhood. I will be on JY watch to see if the sick fuck shows up and if he does, what kind of sweet goodness may kick off around him.
