...I think Chris has reached a level of stupid where reality doesn't matter. I don't think Chris is mentally capable of picking apart reality from fiction. I think he's diagnosable with something.

When Chris tips that rock or crystal or whatever in his hand and it falls forward, I think Chris gets excited because he thinks it really did fall forward via his mind. He's not capable of perceiving it any other way.

It's not Chris' fault he's insane. He needs to be under someone's care.

I agree that Chris believes he has psychic powers etc but there are a shitton of other idiots that do, too (as opposed to scammers like Uri Geller). I also think he really believes there's a vag somewhere in there, but I don't see that being insane so much as being an idiot that doesn't understand reality- or chooses not to do so. I'm surmising he thinks he can grow a vagina the same way he can grow 'breasts' or demand female pronouns because he doesn't understand any of it and makes no attempt to. I guess I just don't need to jump from stupid and self-deluded to 'insane' to accept those things... although I'll admit I tend to take a fairly strict view of insanity based more on legal grounding.

For example, if Chris ran over someone with his car in parking lot today, I think he should be found competent for trial. I think he should also be found culpable even if he claims that sonicu or some pony shit told him to do it (although I bet he wouldn't say that in court). I don't really think he's experiencing auditory or visual hallucinations any more than a kid who has imaginary friends... that conveniently tell him he's a goddess, instead of telling him to strip naked and run down main street (although one of these days a troll might manage that one).

But, yeah, there should be some system to deal with folks like him. Right now there's basically four options: nothing, prison, group home of some type and psych facility. "Nothing" will just get worse, group homes require consent and all sorts of strings attached, and psych facilities need someone to be much nuttier than CWC.

Honestly? Of the options a very low-security 'prison' would probably be best. Three squares a day, rec time, maybe some work release (HA!) but a fair amount of structure restrictions on communications and interactions. All without bubba shanking him for saying 'niggo.' I wonder how many bad checks "sonichu" would have to write to get that sweet deal...

Not all mental illnesses take the form of auditory or visual hallucinations. Think of things like dementia. In some cases, mere delusional thoughts can qualify if they're severe enough.

I believe that in some situations in his life, Chris qualifies as insane because he's got brain problems that leave him mentally incapable of perceiving reality the way that the rest of us do. That's a legal standard for insanity.

I know Null's currently not doing anything to help, but back when he did, he mentioned already having a plan in place to take care of Chris after Barb dies. He didn't mention how automated that plan was, so maybe it'll still kick into gear, like if a lawyer was involved to start the process upon her death or something.

Pretty sure Null wouldn't pull down his zipper to piss on Chris to put him out if he was on fire anymore. I wouldn't expected him to have set up an automated anything for a situation you can't predict. People have been tolling the bell for Barb for going on 10 years now.

In my opinion, the only way Chris can be safe from others and himself is if he died. That would be a true mercy.
There's no saving him. Someone like him, in control of his own life? It's over for him. He's too far gone. Chris rejects help and spits on anyone who's dumb enough to put effort into him.
I dislike putting it that way. I'd rather he wake up and get his life together. But it's painfully unrealistic at this point. He's more likely to cause serious harm to himself or others at this rate than to pull a 180 on his life.

Until the end, it's best to do as most suggested on this thread and watch the trainwreck at a safe distance. Glad Null has already washed his hands of this mess a long time ago. I just feel bad for people who pity Chris. You guys have gentle hearts and wasting your time worrying over someone like Chris.

Dementia was an example of a mental illness that doesn't come with visual or auditory hallucinations. There are other mental illnesses that don't have quite as obvious a neurological origin as dementia, and consist primarily of serious delusional beliefs. I think by this stage Chris could pretty easily be diagnosed with something. And yeah, he should be under someone's care because he's seriously mentally fucked up.

No, Chris is genuinely insane. This is why people should quit getting offended and accusing Chris of "abandoning" null. Chris isn't abandoning shit. He's literally insane and he's being manipulated by people.

I guarantee you, if Jacob Sockness wanted Chris to cut off a body part to enable the merge (with the promise that the merge would give him some new, magic body part), he could get Chris to do it.
