Good wii games?

What kind of games do you like? The House of the Dead games are good on the Wii. Donkey Kong Country Returns and Kirby's Epic Yarn are great fun. I also think RE 4 on Wii is the best version of the game. Boomblox is a really fun, unique game, too.

I can't recommend A Boy and His Blob highly enough.

Edit: and Punch-Out and Little King's Story, which I think is better than Pikmin

Edit Edit: and Zack & Wiki and Order Up

I will also second RE4 on the Wii

No More Heroes 1 and 2.
^Listen to this guy for sure!^

Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is also a get. Metroid Prime trilogy is a pretty good buy if you liked the Metroid Prime games. it's a different experience on the Wii. Sin and Punishment Star Successor is a pretty decent "on the rail" arcade type of shooter.

Legend of Zelda games ( esp Skyward Sword), Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros
In addition to these I would like to recommend Metroid Prime 3, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Mario Kart Wii, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Do not get Super Mario Galaxy 2 and especially not Metroid: Other M.

Check the top of your Wii to see if it's backwards compatible with Gamecube controllers and games.

If so invest in a controller and a memory card and pick up some GameCube games. The link is a few popular titles.

They're all backwards compatible, but only early models are compatible with Gamecube controllers. You can softmod a wii to run Gamecube games off a SD card or USB. If it doesn't have Gamecube controller ports, you might have to invest in an adapter for them.

Red Steel 2 is fantastic, and one of my personal favourite games period. 1 is trash and should be avoided at all costs but if you can find a Wii Motion Plus adapter 2 is a wonderfully creative FPS/brawler hybrid.

If you can still find a copy Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is a fantastic fighter that sold abominably and deserves to be played. The fight sticks are still floating around if you're lucky.

Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces was the last console flight combat game Project Aces produced until Ace Combat 7 this year because Assault Horizon and Infinite don't exist and you won't convince me otherwise. It's an even more anime take on Ace Combat if you can believe it. Strongly recommended.

There's a lot of other under-appreciated gems on the Wii too. Off the of my head Ivy the Kiwi, Lost in Shadow, Deadly Creatures (starring Billy Bob Thornton and a very angry spider), de Blob, and The Conduit 1 & 2 are all great and can be found for dirt cheap. It's a shame Nintendo never exercised quality control with the Wii or gave any attention to decent third party games in their advertising; so many utterly unique games were buried by the teeming masses of shovelware that got dumped out.
