Good wii games?

If you're into rail shooters get House of The Dead 2 & 3, Ghost Squad and Gunblade NY + LA Machineguns. For the definitive minigame experience go with Wii Sports Resort or WarioWare. Elebits is a neat little, offbeat game where you run around capturing electricity hidden throughout the house. Like others have mentioned Boom Blox is great fun. I'm not really into puzzle games, but that one is really satisfying to play and mixes in some hand-eye coordination. I'm also really fond of the Wii port of RE4. Definitely give it a spin if you've never played it. As an aside; unless you plan to pirate (which you should) I wouldn't bother grabbing both Super Mario Galaxy games. The second one felt like a really half baked expansion pack.

Buddy of mine really likes the Harvest Moon games and I tried them. They were kinda fun.

Other than that Smash Bros obviously is a good party game, Mario Kart too. Mario Party has always been fun.

I don’t play vidya much anymore. So other than that I dunno.

There's one Wii game I'm extremely curious about: Driver: San Francisco. I really like the XBox 360 version but the Wii version is supposed to be an entirely different game, being much more of a straight Driver experience without the magic coma "shifting" between cars.

The Speed Racer game is a good one. It's racing, but you also beat the shit out of the other cars with yours with "Car Fu", complete with special moves and the like. It's worth checking out.

Sell It And Get A Better Console: The Game

Getting a Wii in 2019 is a pretty reasonable and frugal move. As we've listed in this thread, there are a lot of great Wii games, the majority of which are dirt-cheap.

Of course, they could've paid an extra $20 and got a Wii U, opening up Splatoon, Bayonetta 2, Super Mario Maker, Breath of the Wild, etc. to them.

Also, get Rayman Origins. Any Wii game with Rayman that doesn’t have the Raving Rabbids is probably going to be good.

Donkey Kong Country Returns is also amazing.

Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars is a hidden gem on Wii:

The Wii port of Ghostbusters: The Game is another good game:

The controls take some getting used to, but Godzilla: Unleashed is a decent brawler:

If you want some good games that are similar to the Katamari games, Rabbids Go Home, The Munchables, and Tornado Outbreak are good options.

I'll also echo what others have said and say that Okami, Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Twilight Princess, the No More Heroes games, Donkey Kong COuntry Returns, and Kirby's Return to Dreamland are must haves for the Wii.

Check the top of your Wii to see if it's backwards compatible with Gamecube controllers and games.

If so invest in a controller and a memory card and pick up some GameCube games. The link is a few popular titles.

^Just wanted to second this. There is a massive library of great Gamecube games that you can play on the Wii.

There's also Fatal Frame 4 if you wanna put in the effort to mod the system and patch the game to English. Fatal Frame 2 also had a Wii remake in PAL territories.

Okami, Twilight Princess, Smash Bros Brawl, and if you like farming games, Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility, and Animal Parade. Also definitely make sure to check whether or not your Wii is backwards compatible with Game Cube games like others have said. It's practically all I use mine for.
