Here's the thing about "Bond girls" though, wasn't it supposed to be as much of a turn on for women in the audience to imagine sleeping with Bond as it was for men in the audience to imagine sleeping with the Bond girls? It always seemed like a pretty equal opportunity fantasy to me, not just a "male" one.

The direction I think they should go in is to make it a retro 1960s period piece, basically the Connery era Bonds with modern special effects, that'd be pretty neato.

Trouble is The Man From Uncle movie was basically that and it flopped, so I don't know how financially successful that idea would be.

Or they could bring back the surrealistic vibe of some of the older Bonds but in a modern context, we've had the gritty, realistic "Jason Bourne" Bond, time to bring back the one that infiltrates Volcano lairs and stuff.

Clearly the way to reverse the franchise's failing fortunes is to have a scene dedicated to a menstruating sheboon. I hear this concept went down exceptionally well with the canadian diversity and inclusivity test watcher they hired to ensure the film was not problematic

The degree with which Craig has turned woke makes me wonder what exactly he's done in his private life that he thinks he needs to do penance for. Really sad, too, as he was my 2nd favorite Bond after his first 2 movies. It didn't help that Skyfall was terribly overrated and Spectre was astoundingly bad.

Seemingly got one supposed leak that described the movie as being sorta like Spectre (as in it's boring) and also a plot detail regarding a certain recurring Bond character. And fast forward to today and I find this. As a thumbnail to avoid spoilers (how do you cover up text in case of spoilers on here?). But it seems to back up the previous leak (unless this is made up info from the same source).

If this is true, this movie will be a fucking mess as the ending sounds atrocious and very woke.

haven't been for years (fwiw mainly not wanting to see dubbed stuff, but the material itself becomes less enticing every year). maybe I'm slowly turning into murtaugh

It sounds like Bond is a side character in his own movie, first of all. Since the franchise is built around him, that seems like the first, and fatal, mistake.
The second, of course, is having a stronk woman of color have and keep the 007 number all movie, stripping Bond of that iconic moniker. (Though he'd been in 'retirement' or 'rogue' before he always returned to it by movie's end.)
The third big issue is the deviation too far from the formula of high espionage pseudo-fantasy. Bond is always best with over-the-top exotic locations, women, and villains with grandiose plans - this more 'realistic' version manages to be simultaneously grounded while impossible to believe. Why try so hard to ape Bourne when you already can work so well with your established brand and formula?

Finally, we come to the big SJW lie they always spew to puff themselves up. ThIS wIlL bE tHe FiRsT sTrOnK POC wOmAn!!!!! When Bond movies have have several powerful, amazing and sexy women in them.
