Didn’t another podcast mock the book earlier this year? I don’t remember him getting as mad then as he is over this one. Is it another “bruh, your audience is too small for me to care” situations?

I dunno, I think the trajectory of the attack and its origin was pretty disruptive this time around. He may actually need a hot minute to double think his way around this pickle.

He was getting shit from the breadtube-y leftist sphere this time, which is no real surprise to anyone not in the Blob echo chamber considering how universally he's loathed. Not so easy to play the "mayo ghoul"/"alt-righter" card when you're dealing with the left, and he can't just pretend it never happened like he normally does because of Grandma's AC.

The irony of this tweet is that it could easily be applied to Bob. In fact, looking at it without context, I probably couldn't say for sure if it was supposed to be about this recent prankster or Bob himself.

That's completely accurate. And while they may have not have intended to get the guy fired (although them freaking out about it may just be because they realized they fucked up and were going to look bad), they certainly meant to get him in trouble in some way. Over reading a section of Bob's book out loud. Which Bob wrote, published, and is still selling copies of. Because they didn't like his tone.

Yep, this is the main take away from all this situation. Look, all this shit started when Robert tried the public shame tatic by bringing in other people and audiences to his skirmish:

This is classic "cancel culture" bullshit. You never say you want someone fired outright, because of course you are the one that will look bad in the end, you try to shame others by association and thus leaving no other option other than the person in question being ostracised. Note that when this happens, the people who are responsible for the "cancelling" always, always come out to say "it was never my intention to have *person* to lose their job, i just wanted to bring forth a concern I had about their behaviour".

That is why both Chipman brothers started to freak out when Jack went ahead and started to mess with them, because this cancel culture bullshit ain't so hot right now, and Robert sure as fuck doesn't have much goodwill or clout that will stop him from getting a barrage of insults and bad press on twitter.

And more than that, if Robert is at least attentive, The Escapist seems to be looking for a way to drag his content AWAY from their prized cow yahtzee, and while they can't outright fire Robert if they don't want to be called "alt-right", Robert gotta be aware that Russ Pitts ain't there anymore and his presence is a net negative. I'm pretty sure the escapist is looking for a way to quietly distance themselves from him, and when nobody is looking, kick his fat ass out. And this kind of internet dram ain't helping his case out.

He was fucking with you, he approached you and instead of just saying "nah, we are cool, it was just a dumb thing" you tried to make this "boss" take action against someone for mocking you. Just because you said "don't fire him" to cover your ass, doesn't erase the fact that you thought you were snitching behind someone's back.

I gotta say, Chip's tattling puts him in a new light and I'm way less willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on his Bob enabling in the future.
