From the little we know, unfortunately most of it coming from Phil, his gamble may be if his dad going first. His mom seems to be the one who spoils him. For example he went to his mother for the tax bail out instead of his dad, you know the one who brings in the money by working. Who really knows but gut feeling says papa Burnell may keep the purse strings a little tighter then mom.

If his parents didn't know, I would be staggered. I can't imagine having a child who makes his living on the internet and not spending time once in a while just checking up on what he's up to. As a friendly reminder, parents will try and excuse their child if they murder someone. Parents do stupid things for their stupid children.
At the end of the day their child is making upwards of 100,000$ yearly for playing games, is married and lives in a gated community. Sure, he slipped up a few times, so what? In any parents eyes that's success.
If Phil learned his "fuck you got mine" mentality from his parents, he had to also learn the "it's never my fault". By that logic I feel very safe in saying his parents are proud of him.

If someone wants a hot video idea, take the clips where he complains about people trying to cancel culture him, I believe in the Jeremy circle jerk, and put it next to him trying to do the same to CoD, Apex Legends guy, that delivery service, Infinity Ward just yesterday.

It's also very funny that he assumes neither of his parents will develop a chronic illness that they will want to live their remaining years with it under control and managed. For good or ill, unless they are especially wealthy (and they aren't) that means he can kiss any substantial inheritance goodbye. With all of his drama whoring and lying about how his parents are dying, it would be poetic justice for that very fact to see to it that Phil spends a few years watching his "nest egg" dwindle away as Mama or Papa Burnell fight to stay alive.

A few people in his chat were last night. Because money wasn't attached, I don't think he acknowledged it. Of course, he was also complaining about realism in CoD but refused to acknowledge suggestions to play "hardcore" where one shot kills, just like he wants. But then he'd have to admit it's just his old man reflexes and shit aim.

Since I don't watch Tevin, (or use Twitter) I have no idea how often Tevin does, would you say it's more than half the time in your estimation? Less than half the time? Do the restreamers take days to divy up between each other to reduce the workload on themselves?

Not to mention restreaming is protected under the parody clause of Fair Use, thus its not illegal either.

Oh and the reason he is using Penne points is very simple, it's a psychological trick to get people who never tip into the habit of using a currency in streams.

They use a fake currency to get attention from the streamer and rewards (this is why people tip), then when this is taken away they are more likely to use actual money or bits because they see value in these things.

It's akin to a drug dealer giving free samples to kids, then taking them away when the people are addicted.

I agree with your overall point about viewer loyalty points, but would atribute the psychological warfare as being on behalf of Twitch's efforts more than any streamer, Phil included, to getting to the end result you're arguing for. Maybe your logic why Phil should take the blame for enacting a site-wide test roll out program is eluding me but it's a tenuous logic leap you're making on this here?

Another classic entry into the "Why I don't use Twitter" art gallery, every single time one of these gets posted. The best are when the lolcows post them on their own but this one is intriguing for the entry "ggBzagWN6M"?

DSP was essentially all in on Cyberpunk during his E3 review streams in the immediate aftermath of the announcement and the out of left field 180 degree turn he's taken on it is the most abrupt turn on a single game I can recall this last half of the year. Even Death Stranding he at least was neutral about until he got more information and gradually had to grudgingly admire the positives in it as he soured on the parts that ground his gears once he got his hands on it. His GTA replay this year did get some excusing of the dialog cursing in it with a handwave of 'it was a different era then,' but I guess this is going to be a point of contention about how he's matured over his streaming career maybe?

I think Tevin mainly does it mainly because he makes a decent chunk of change off if it. 1500 concurrent viewers is kind of impressive, especially when you consider the context.

I don't think Tevin is obsessed with Phil at all.

IIRC, Tevin tried to make non-DSP content on Twitch, and Phil still felt the need to push him off the site. At that point I'd "illegally" restream his shit too. Not like Phil left him a choice. By Bugs Bunny logic, and fuck you if you don't think this online piss sea of exceptionalism doesn't run on that kind of logic, Phil engineered his own enemy the moment Tevin tried to look away from Phil and Phil still wanted him gone.

At that point, even if I didn't make $1500 a stream off of him, I'd restream Phil's shit if only to counterpunch the asshole if I were Tevin.

I've seen streamers play some of the worse games out there and still get tips and cheers because they made it entertaining. Phil can't make things entertaining, he can only take what the game gives him and repeat it back while seal laughing and overacting. Those other streamers also don't complain about not having money thrown at them and actually have a good time playing.
