All I can say I'm not surprised. No matter. Disney purchased a Golden Goose and instead of waiting for the eggs, started hacking the Goose to pieces.
It's even interesting to see some of the shill reviewers can't accept this steaming turd for anything other than it is.
At the end of the day this will kill any star wars films for the next 5-10 years at least, the TV side of things will continue to develop, and I think as long as the numbers stay strong and the stories are ok, it will do well.
The Mandalorian is proof that the "fans/public" aren't suffering from Star Wars fatigue, just the bullshit surrounding the film releases, and the fact you can't have a single film released without someone in the media shitting on the fandom/toxic white males, etc for not liking their dumb ideas. As far as the cannon is concerned, it's dead.
If we get any new Star Wars films, I'd be very surprised in any tie in to the original series. This at least gives me some hope, that once they oust Kathleen Kennedy and get in a competent producer with some new/interested writer we might finally get some movies worthy of the Star Wars label, though they'll all be either old republic or extended universe.
