Saved By The Bell is Coming Back... - ...with a transgender lead! Just what fans of the show were asking for!

Saved by The Bell was a product of the last century and should've stayed there.

But like every other media franchise that has rebooted into a shittier modern version, it too will be robbed of any dignity and left beaten and naked on the side of the road, and not even the woke will be the Good Samaritan to it.

I applaud Universal for many things.
One of them is that there's almost no socio-political pandering in their movies.
Unfortunately, they're merged with NBC which is desperately trying to make up for it.

They are seriously overestimating the societal support of LGBT.
Gay/lesbian shit, sure, there are people who like to watch that.
Trans? Sorry, people are tolerant but not supportive for the most part, and even that is only because most will never encounter any of them.
Sure, this will make people talk about the show but talking about something doesn't translate to spending time on it, especially when there's so much entertainment out there that you would need to live for 3000 years to watch everything.

The only way in which this can survive is if they pay everyone pocket change to make it.
Still, I suspect 2 seasons at most.

It's going to be funny that almost every TGIF/90s show ise going to have an after-birth, twin show decades after they aired. They've already done: Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, Boy Meets World, Full House, and now Saved By The Bell.

Next up on the chopping block: Family Matters, Step by Step, Dinosaurs, and probably Sister, Sister.

All of those that have been done already fuckin suck, too. People only watched them for the initial hype and then they just flopped. Sad they have to ruin almost every franchise for a quick buck.

Edit : Pfft...there's no way they'll remake/reboot Dinosaurs, at least not with the actual animatronics.

Not sure, but I know Zach Morris' character is coming back since he's apparently the one who is deciding to consolidate the schools together. I suspect the other characters will either return as teachers or parents of the current brood. I also suspect the actor that played Screech will make an appearance she he'll essentially work for a ham sandwich at this point.

Speaking for myself, SbtB being reheated isn't a "oh no, they're ruining my childhood" thing. It's more of another example that A) the entertainment industry is incredibly lazy; B) they realize they are lazy bastards and instead try to use the power of woke to drum up attention to their show.

In the end, I'm not worried about the show's honor, but I think it's just completely ridiculous that from the reheated show's description it sounds like they're taking a show from the 90's which was 95% "wacky high school hijinks," and making it into a tumblr fan-fiction.

I doubt they'll do anything with "Family Matters" or "Sister Sister" since those were cast by primarily black actors and the studios don't want to be accused for erasing black culture/achievements/whatever the correct buzzword is. Dinosaurs maybe on ABC since they're another head of the Disney hydra, but it might be too cost prohibitive. Step by Step oh yeah - I'm surprised they haven't rechurned out that stinker yet, now that you mention it.

Real talk, did anyone actually like Saved By the Bell?

I have a real hate boner for most things from the 90's and never believe anyone who proclaims shit from SbtB to Doug as being "muh fond childhood memories" since it was just as cringy to watch then as it is now and can't imagine there's a demand for more Dustin Diamond unless he's thrashing old men in the boxing ring again.

The original show may be dated as hell but it's kinda charming in that way.. like looking back at old photos and thinking man those were some times. The only times a new version with a troon in the lead can harbinger are the end times.


Also I'm aware these shows and ones like sbtb and Doug are crappy or cringe but honestly I'd watch them over their dessicated corpses networks keep propping up for woke points,and as bad as they are do they really diserve to be shit on with these reboots again and again?

My family used to watch it together it was our weekday afternoon together time, but when my parents broke up my home life fell apart I watched it to remind me of better times and as corny as it was it was all I had...oh now I've depressed myself even more
