While I wish it did happen, the movie scene where a display of competency causes the opposition to shit themselves is sadly not a real thing.

The only way Funimations backs down is if Sony tells Fukunaga that he will be "managing a farm up north" in the style you do with a rabid dog.

Loved the brief, it was better than expected and really showed in clear manner the links between every party and their actions, can't wait to see the bs the MoRons+Jamie+Funi will file next month, I'm sure it will be hot shit just like their previous filings, Ty&Hsu firms did a really good job, now I just hope the CoA have better judges than Chupp.

Considering that even Sharon Griftsby got charmed by Vic, and Chupp seemed to be charmed by Vic, I think it's gonna be hard to find people for a jury that won't be swayed at all by Vic. They'd have to have an absolute dedicated hatred of Vic from the get go like Monica has.

Ever been on a jury? The lawyers look for the most disconnected people possible for rendering judgements to eliminate bias. The defendants don't get to just hope to grab a few KickVic peeps off the street and weasel them in.

I am curiously interested in how Funimation will defend themselves from the brief's well constructed argument. For all intents and purposes, they are called out for allowing their employees to run rampart whilst some of them were even in contact with said employees and in no way did they make any effort to clear the record of what their statements actually meant. How are they supposed to defend against that? "Uuuuh durrr we didn't think people would reach the conclusions they did durr".

Okay yeah but, then why did they never say anything to correct those conjectures that people came up with and instead let the employees they are supposed to be responsible for say all of those things, lending even more credence to the belief that they fired Vic because of Monica, Ron and Jamie's influence and that he was fired for unsavory behavior. Why did they keep quiet about it this whole time? They had so many chances to fix it and they allowed Monica and co throw them under the bus to use Funimation's name to give their accusations and claims some form of merit to back them up. "Employees from Funimation are saying themselves what Vic was fired for, so it must be true."

The only real counter they can do is somehow prove that Vic as well as Monica and co are not "real" employees and thus they aren't in some way responsible for what they do or say, even if they use media that's meant to promote them and their company for shady behavior. But if the appeal is approved and the case is brought back to life, when discovery hits they are gonna need to provide physical evidence that Monica and co and Vic as well aren't "real employees" as well as explain and prove why it was totally okay for them to let the people they are supposed to be responsible for use social media intended to promote their company for personal things instead of having their own personal social media separate from their professional one. By extension, companies should never allow their employees or workers who promote them to do or say things that make that company look bad as a whole. Those kinds of actions are usually corrected immediately, either by warning to the people making them look bad or informing everyone that their personal beliefs or statements don't reflect the ones of the company by any means.

I think he meant that Vic’s charisma would win over normie jurors too. Not that they’re gonna go in supporting him already.

As a matter of fact I have almost been on a jury several times and gone through the process of selection. My point was that even random people brought in have a good chance of being convinced that Vic isn't guilty of what the defendants are saying about him especially considering how Sharon Grigsby and Chupp were charmed by him. I said that the only way someone wouldn't be able to be affected by Vic would be if they were already staunchly KickVic, not that they were actually going to get people like that on the jury.

Who knows what he is thinking. The fact that he is saying they are not allowed to point to the 2AP/Decs and its super bad they did, just shows how good the appeal was. I mean lets just ignore the fact that Lemoine tried to get that 2AP struck from the record. Wonder why Lemoine would need to do that if the 2AP could not be used in appeals????
