Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

You know, when you were younger, and you read about massive plagues and asked the teacher "Why didn't they stop doing that? They knew the disease was out there but they still rubbed hooker ass on their face. Why? Why didn't they take the precautions they understood?" and the teacher went "We don't know..."

Well, now you know.

Because people are exceptional fuckwits who only think of their own pleasure.

That and the spice must flow. Its not so easy to shut down the wheels of commerce.

Okay, well then you should probably blame China for giving everyone the idea then, so nevermind, I guess you took Road C instead.
Oh, yeah, it's China's fault that Trump and his retard followers trumpeted this as a miracle cure. Do you ever read what you type and think about it?

So Illinois is "shut down" and I'm in the suburbs just outside of Chicago.

Nothing has changed. Fast food places are still open, people going to best buy and shit, everyone's out and driving around. Everyone has just completely ignored the warning. Amazing.
So they are treating it like those magical gun laws that are supposed to keep guns from killing people?

We're not at the point in the timeline to expect to see bodies piling up yet. So Germans frigging the cause of death to fudge the figures is still most likely.
UK 5000 infected , 230 deaths
GER 3000 infected , 6 deaths
(figures from memory / pulled out my arse)
germany crossed the 1000 infected line at the same day as france and a day earlier than spain. on the 8th of march. the UK crossed that line on the 14th.
Italy crossed the line on the 29th of feb and had over 100 deaths after 4 days. its now 13 days after germany crossed that line and the deaths are still below 100.
germany is around a week behind italy on the infection timeline (21k cases) but 17 days and counting behind the death timeline of italy.
the uk is 6 days behind germany on the infection timeline but is 4 days ahead on the deathtimeline. they also have been ahead in deaths for 16 days.

germany should start to see lots of deaths right now, but it isnt. so the healthcare system of germany is way better, the infected parts of the population are way different or the german government can keep stuff hidden much better than any government in the world.

I'm terribly sorry if I'm late and gay to this, but has it already been discussed how India's numbers are, at the time of me writing this, so comparably low (332 infected and 5 deaths), while Italy and Spain for example are taking it in the ass, and not even in the Greek way?

First dog to test positive for coronavirus dies

The first known dog that tested positive for the novel coronavirus, a 17-year-old Pomeranian, has died in Hong Kong, according to a local media report.

Oh, is that why the actual experts are reacting like this to Trump's lies?

Keep coping, market-worshipper.

This is literally a picture of the doctor laughing as Trump flames a reporter for a stupid question.

Is this the media version of DONT GOOGLE ANYTHING?
The media clearly don't want people watching the press conferences. And a lot of people don't and just read the headline. I've actually been watching these things and he answers a lot of questions. He just occasionally shuts down idiots.

Indians probably didn't invite Chinease into their house and started to lick their asses like the Italians did

he's anti-America rather than pro-China, necessarily.
It's anti-American to not want people to suffer because Trump considers boosting the economy more important than the people who actually need the drugs he's promoting as a miracle cure?

If Trump actually cared about the American people (rather than his masters) do you think that he would be letting hydroxychloroquine stocks be gobbled up by greedy 'New Yorkers' as an unproven prophylactic rather than ensuring they are reserved for a) people who need them for their normal uses b) people suffering serious symptoms of the coronavirus?

I mean, that sounds like exactly the opposite of what an enlightened leader would do.

Didnt the dog actually having the virus end up being a fluke false positive?

From the 19th to the 21st century India has had around 21 epidemics-
Only god knows how many they had before that, but it's certain that India has a long history of dealing with epidemics.

TL : DR They may not have even noticed the extra sick people yet.

Bashing Trump, the Chinese, or the Ayatollahs, my friends, does nothing to keep any of us alive.

Neither does bickering about liberals, conservatives, communists, French people, Negroes, White Supremecists, or Muslims.

The only justification for vocally scrutinizing Trump the House and Congress right now, is to understand how and why decisions are made, so that we can plan and prepare accordingly. Decisions are decisions, and maybe we have to cope with the results of a breadcrumb trail of piss-poor decisions.

We can rage all we want, but it is better to engage in healthy and robust debate. In the process you can understand the recent past, it's successes and failures, and move forward, even if it with an economic peg-leg. And vote your local asshole out of office, if s/he is only serving the interests of the rich, the sociopathic and Trump's Chosen People.

I'm here for the autistic screeching (including my own) don't ruin it for me.
Can somebody please enlighten as to the symptoms of bronchitis vs. COVID?

PL ... (stupid) but I have this full feeling in my chest when I lie down, but to the side, it feels tighter in both sides and near the trachea. It has been a sloshiness in lower lung, one side and the other. Moving around produces unproductive cough.

Called doc and she told me NOT to go anywhere unless I can't breathe and run a fever, because there ARE people at testing places who have it and can expose further. She said that there is a snowball's chance in hell that they will test, unless you are showing extreme symptoms. The rest are advised to rest and not leave home.

That is why I am posting here. Sorry about the TMI but is anybody else having these symptoms and are they bronchitis? Bacterial pneumonia, viral, COVID, influenza?
That baby is letting you know who's the boss. It's probably stretching, getting ready to burst out (they can kick/push into the diaphragm at times in the third trimester). Unless you have other symptoms you're probably better off at home. But do what you think is best for you and baby.

The average lifespan of a Pomeranian is 12-16. The article dosen't say the dog died from it either. Probably the stress of seperation and a sick owner with it's advanced age did it in.

I'm thinking India is going to have a bumpy flight.

187 out of 195 countries in the world have the virus. The few remaining countries with no known cases seem to mostly be in Africa, but they probably just haven't noticed it yet, and are early in the timeline. I haven't heard of anything going down in Africa but they do have the virus.

Comobidity in Africa is a bitch though, they could be hiding numbers like others have:

Patient Diagnosis Cause of Death
Kwame M'busu COVID-19 Ate by lion
Mikwesa Ilunga COVID-19 Starved to death
