Your comment on people having to avoid some older gas mask filters just because some asbestos in it is flawed and dangerous to make. You are telling people to avoid protecting themselves from certain death and this is unacceptable.

Im pretty sure my BW mask is fine and the filter are even good for another 2 years.

A quick guideline: Soviet masks are dangerous. Modern NATO-Masks are save. New filters should be save.
When you open the filter and you can see small black dots tumbling around, the filter is no good.

Another question is whether the mask/filters are effective. You can buy shitty chinese respirator masks that couldn't filter gravel, even if they were able to make a face-seal, which they oftentimes don't.

Coronavirus In Minnesota: ‘We’re Watching You’: Racist Note Left On Woodbury Home Of Asian American Couple

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Twin Cities couple Alvin Moua and Vanishia Yang say they are sad and angered by a racist note left on their door this week.

When Moua returned home Wednesday, he noticed a piece of paper stuck to his front door in Woodbury.

“I thought it might have been a notice sign,” Moua said. “As I got closer to it and actually read the note itself, yeah, it was pretty disturbing,”

This was the note plastered on his front door:

The note was signed, “Your friendly neighborhood.”

Moua’s emotions were racing.

“Anger. Frustration. A lot of anger,” he said.

After alerting their landlord, he called Woodbury police. The department tells WCCO there are no leads, although detectives are working on it.

“This sort of behavior has no place in our community. We are saddened that a person would be so cruel as to racially blame a neighbor for COVID-19,” police officials said.

That sentiment was echoed online. Yang’s post is drawing hundreds of supportive comments.

“It kind of, I guess, makes me sad, I don’t know, because I would like to feel welcomed here,” Yang said. “It’s hard. You know, it just makes it a little harder to be Asian American.”

Though it’s painful, Moua and Yang think it’s important for all to know about the hurtful things that are happening close to home.

“Please don’t be afraid to share your story. I mean, we need to spread the awareness,” Yang said. “Because, obviously, there are people out there who care.”

Woodbury Mayor Anne Burt apologized to the couple on behalf of the city. She encouraged victims, or anyone aware of these incidents, to call 911.

I ventured outside of my führerbunker here in germany to buy some groceries today and was happy to find that all was in stock (this is a supermarket in the middle of a big city) and the shelves were being full again. Even toilet paper was plentiful! I noticed that some foodstuffs that get packaged by machinery had the food quite haphazardly thrown in. My random and subjective opinion is that they were running their processing at crazy speed to satisfy the sudden hole in supply. It was kind of disconcerting to see all these panicked people and the empty shelves, so seing that was nice. Even the online food retailers have stuff in stock again. I guess my government was absolutely honest for once when they said that this hamstering is stupid and there's plenty of food.

While walking I also saw several people with masks and also people talking to each other but standing several meters away from each other. That also was good to see.

I never said they had anything to do with covid or that if someone did do it, that's not a dick thing to do.

Most countries need all kind of Tests because they cant organize shit. PCR and Roche Tests(automated PCR tests) are the most important atm. antibody tests are close to be market ready.the Roche test is the real gamechanger. 9 people in a Cobas lab(5 machines in a network) could do 100k+ tests a week.

Monoclonal antibodies would be pretty much the silver bullet, but testing them takes alot of time and cant realy be shortened like tests for other medicines.
the only way to get them to market fast is the use of an already used monoclonal antibody. there are some possible candidates for that, but spain is not realy in shape for massive tests or production.
