Oh dear.

State and local police responded to a large disturbance at Monroe Correctional Complex Wednesday evening after a couple hundred inmates began threatening to set fires and possibly take corrections officers hostage, a Washington State Patrol spokeswoman said.
...

It wasn’t immediately clear what touched off the disturbance.

However, the conflict unfolded on the same day inmates at the prison’s minimum-security unit were told that additional inmates had tested positive for COVID-19. On Monday, DOC confirmed the first infection in the unit. Late Tuesday, the agency announced two additional inmates had tested positive. And Wednesday, the DOC acknowledged an additional three inmates had tested positive, for a total of six at the prison.

Nah, my internet connection sucks.

I didn't know you could post in a current forum all the way back in 1997.

If a minimum security is threatening shit like that, it's bad. Those are where the part timers with everything to lose live....it's also where they have access to a shit ton more contraband and the least competent CO's.

One thing I’ve noticed with both positive and suspected positive COVID19 patients is that their posture is off and they’re usually favoring one side over another.

Nothing definitive, just something I’ve picked up on.

That's probably a sign that the initial pneumonia is not developing bi-laterally. It will feel like you've been stabbed in one side of your chest.

i think we can all agree that kelly once again hits the nail on the head with his artistic commentary:

how does he do it? amazing...

I keep seeing this artist. I don't get it. Is this just some sorta boomer who is just... insane? Or is this a parody of political cartoons? I don't understand it at all.

Whoa dude let’s just calm down here and take a step back from this silly defunding idea, everything’s cool, just chill out, simmer down, just relax bro, everything’s cool, ok?

It will be interesting to see if any other countries follow Trump in pulling funding? I'm thinking Japan and South Korea might follow suit. Canada won't. UK could go either way. Germany will be all in on blowing Teddy here.

Is there a good place online to buy shit like tomato plants and the like?
I was going to tell you to go to rareseeds.com (their color catalogs are fantastic)but after checking, it seems they are closed until the 13th to restock due to high demand. Still, for future info, they sell some great, unique seeds. Even if you live in the north, it is not too early to start some seeds in egg cartons. I hear Victory gardens are all the rage this season.

Any reason for that. I ve delt with a few germans and they can be a very ordered and organized bunch. If its shown that the WHO is unable to do its mission it would make sense for them to turn on it as well.

Is there anywhere to find an inside perspective of the WHO like it seems a good time for teddy to voluntarily step down as a sign that things were mis-handled, etc. Or will he double down, or even better yet turn on China, to save himself. Just imagine if he says China gave them bad information etc.

I am wondering if there will be a spike of cases next week from churches this coming Easter Sunday. There been churches too arrogant to close public services and unless they have police ready to close them this Sunday, you going to hear a lot of church related cases in the news next week.

There's a 2 week+ Lead time. The cases dying in the Hospitals today, were mostly infected before any restrictions were put in place. Here's the theoretical time frame;
Day 1 - You come in contact with a carrier
Day 4 - You start to be detectable by a test. You can infect others
Day 4- 18 or 20 You are asymptomatic. You are still infecting others
Day 20 - You start to experience symptoms.
Day 20-25 You have a bad cold/flu
Day 26 - The turning point. Either you're starting to beat it off, or Respiratory Distress begins. Things go downhill fast from here.
Day 26-28 if Resp problems kicked in you either get help or you will probably die here. Admitted to Hospital. If O2 sats drop below 85-90 you go on a Vent.

It may go faster or longer for some. But it's pushing 3 weeks from point of contact.

Its Kelly from the Onion so yeah he basically lampoons political cartoons, often by being blatantly contrarian to the popular opinion about something. In this one for example, making food workers who are brave enough to show up to work as bad guys and the people safe inside as victims. Just think about that episode of South Park where Big Tobacco were portrayed as nice and whimsical whereas anti-smoking lobbyists were depicted as evil goblin people.

Now whether or not Kelly is sincere in his parody or achieves humor is an entirely different affair.

John Hopkins dropped the France confirmed numbers down. I'm not sure the what or why but last saturday at the time I checked it was 90,848. CNBC listed France confirmed as 83,029 about twelve hours earlier also taken from the John Hopkins website.

So it looks like either JH had a error in the numbers since saturday, finally caught it, and fixed it or they have an error with the numbers now. Worldometers.info lists France cases as 112,950 today. We'll have to see what it ends up being.

Daphuq dat. Sorry. We had to shut our restaurant.

I personally don't see the humor.

Carry on.
Well the chain places are still open and getting to claim they are super great by..charging less for delivery through Grub Hub..while still massively overcharging for it.

Will we ever find out what's causing the reinfections? I just wanna know if this fiasco is just Spanish Flu MK-II or Nier (not the one with the robot coomer bait, the one where a father/brother inadvertently destroys the world.)

She actually apologized but she's fucked no matter what she says

She'll stay as Mayor until the next election as an independent and then Labour will run someone against her, presumably Williams or one of his cronies, and then she'll have no job, no office, no party, and no friends. All for saying this on FB

You can see only 4 people reacted, a mix of thumbs up, heart and angry. One of the one or two angry ones must have gone to the media and that fucked her life.

That evil bitch can still get royally fucked. If people want to think its business as usual for these twats then they can get their karmic comeuppance straight off the bat. It's about time their shitty behaviour was called out in the way these bastards used to go after anyone "problematic". Even a fucking socialist student union backed off of one of their members saying BoJo being in an ICU was "funny" and threw him off a committee. People who unironically call themselves "comrade" aren't behind this stupid shit.

We've seen how blanc checques have worked out in the past in the EU.
I can understand that Italy and Spain want that kind of support, but it's more than logical that the EU does not want to give them support on those terms. The EU will help them. The EU will help them soon. But they won't give them a huge wad of cash and go "So now do whatever you like".

And throwing a hissyfit over "not getting any help", when they've received support both economically and humanitarian, is spitting in the face of said help, just cause they might not get the unicorn they wanted and instead might have to settle for a horse.
Let Salvini rattle his sabre, might as well be just an attempt to throw off some criticism and fling it somewhere else, the EU has been a welcome target for such crap by people who stumble over each other to grab some free gibsmedats from the EU the first chance they get.

The EU's never given a blank cheque out in its life, and its responce to the worst hit states has been so woeful its pathetic. They could've sent aid, sent medics, closed their borders and got on top of it, but nope. Throw the southern europeans under the bus and block legally bought goods from being "exported" (what, inside the big ol trade bloc that's supposed to be the crowning achievement and they talk about there being no borders inside? Hahaha).

It won't have been the EU that destroyed itself, but France and Germany, the two "leaders" of the project showing their true colours in a crisis and suddenly becoming French and German again after decades of playing lip service to pretending to be "european". It was, and always will be a fake concept for Franco-German dominance of all of Europe and this pandemic exposes that for the world to see.

Its still better than our last sub. We never managed to get that one to come back up after we sunk it.

I'll do it tomorrow it's too damn late.

Jokes aside. We already deal with everyone anyway and have strong alternatives to german trade for everything worth a shit. And if there's one thing spain is good at is surviving. Fuck this are record numbers for job destruction yet we're not even close to the unemployment rates from when my mom was a teen. You may think you can punish us. But we can endure a lot worse than you can dish out. Life's already fucked us enough times to remember bringing lube. And right now most of the country would be happy if they told us conscription's back on the menu and we're being sent to plant trump's wall in Berlin. So you'd do well in fearing how far we'll go before your leaders realize we may not bark a lot but we sure can bite.

Being as the UK's own car industry is nice and competitive and still looking for expanding markets, I'm sure something could be struck between the UK and Spain.

Oh dear.

Just pull an ol Wuhan Tower Block on 'em, evac the staff and weld the jail shut.

Mind, I say we should do that whenever there's a prison riot and the officers lose control of a prison.
