There is zero tolerance for any points of view outside of what the SocJus cult deems acceptable. Their way of thinking is the only one that can possibly be correct. The only reason anyone could ever have a different opinion is if you are motivated by evil. Your moral standing is determined by your opinions, but what constitutes the "correct" opinions has already been settled. So you wind up with this morality-slash-performance art where the cost of disagreement is too high, so everyone agrees to keep the hugbox huggy.

It's not about the character or her background. It's what she represents: disabled people who lost a limb. Remember that the woke crowd wants representation instead of characters. OP sees her from a totally different perspective.

George Alexopoulos has done some small things like this that have become quite popular. You rpobably saw the one about a chick getting into D&D that demands things to change for being too complicated and when everyone tells her that no she throws a shitfit.

For them it's all about representation. The character must be just that: to show that disabled people exist and that are normal. Something that pretty much everyone knows already. They cannot have their own values, morals, worldviews or opinions. They are just there to be a showpiece for extremely shallow people to say "Look, there is someone like me. Cool." rather than focus on character background or what makes them like that. Because for them it's not a woman that has taken a crippling injury and probably had to overcome the stigma and shock of losing a leg, therefore being a story about overcoming the trauma of a heavy loss. For them she's just "Cool crippled vampire hunter".

The sub-story here is that people are freaking out that "Elon Musk didn't actually buy and deliver ventilators like he promised!", when the reality is that he promised to deliver bi-pap machines, and those machines are apparently turning out to be a better choice for assisted respiratory therapy, based on ongoing research.
