The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Goddess with a sack of roids,
Screaming "IT'S MA'AM" all the same.
The summit of Druckmann's fetish
And Abby is her name

She's got one,
Yeah baby, she's got one.
That's a penis, that's a ballsack
That she's just had waxed.

Her weapons are the medium irons
Making Sony fanboys mad.
Subverting expectations like she fucked Joel's brains
Got what few other girls had.

She's got one,
Yeah baby, she's got one.
That's a penis, that's a ballsack
That she's just had waxed.

I saw Neil Druckmann at a grocery store next to Sony Hq yesterday. I told him how cool it was that he subverted my expectations & that a MA'AM kills and beats up the main characters from TLOU, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for a free game or anything.

He said, “Do you know any lesbian teens?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him drink soy as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen golf clubs in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the clubs and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each club and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by hitting her with one of the golf clubs.

Really now.

You know this game makes me wish I had this happen with star wars. Watching the old characters die to be replaced shoulda been a slaughter. Rey shoulda been a ma'am who just splits Luke in two. Would've made it easier for me to move on. Holy fuckin shit do I hate this game and never would I have expected one of my favorite games to get a sequel that splits up the world in some divisive for kicks way that this shithead has done.

Why the fuck do sjw types like Neil insist on purposefully making games and other entertainment either irritating or just miserable? Especially with his whole "games aren't meant to be enioyable, they are meant to be deep" or whatever deal he said
Do they just want everyone else to be as unhappy as they are?
They are clearly hiding Abby because they know nobody wants to play as her but it's like they wanna trick us into playing as a character nobody likes that they know nobody will enjoy playing as
They are self aware enough even before the leaks to know it will be hated by everyone so they hide it yet refuse to fix it and have people like it

It's funny you mention that, because I know of an indie studio who managed to make a game that wasn't fun, but was fascinating enough to keep your interest.
Matter of fact they did it twice, only the second time it was fun.
Shockingly enough, the "games as art" crowd don't pipe up about Pathologic very often. I wonder why?

Neil said he wants games to be engaging experiences instead of the usual dudebro shooter pozzed edition that people gobble up. This is a cynical mindset taken by devs who didn't end up becoming part of soulless corporations who doesn't want thinking experiences but bland genre games meant to make money.

Look at GTAV, where you can taste Houser's cynical wank in the game. The city feels lifeless and the supporting cast is a mix of jerks, dead weigh that contribute nothing and villains who's sole motif is either ineffectual villains or assholes with power that they abuse. In 4 you can see that despite the grittier setting you felt like your friends and family are people. Terrible but still people you relate to because of the mudane day to day from bowling, driving them around town and causing trouble.

But back on Neil and his attempts at an engaging experience is very much a defiant rage against the gamer community who wants to escapism, not some attempt at ascending to become some cultural icon which he is going to fail hard at as we see right now with the anti hype campaign in full gear ready to destroy him

You answered your own question, ND is AAA, Pathological devs are indie and there is a huge sea of arthouse game devs who gets their dicks stoked by journalists looking to escape from the utterly suffocating environment of the big 10. Sony and MS are the only ones really making the risks to invest in engaging experiences while everyone else is churning out generic gacha games or bland titles

Because this is the world that Druckman believes the world needs to see exists. They want others to revel in their own dystopian misery on a level that only sociopaths and depressed anarchists would be able to fathom. He does all this to prove his world view is Right and everyone else has it Wrong. He believes he is showing that what the gaming scene needs is more people like him to empower those voices that are never heard, that are repressed, that the downtrodden need to be represented. He believes that he can make that happen by putting that message into a medium that will be globally consumed in dozens of languages. He knows his audience has absolutely no choice if they want to continue the story to walk through his vision of life, his concepts of morality, and his world views and will proudly tell you with a straight face "This is how you should think as this is what you REALLY want".

Druckman is Abby, this game is the golf club message of Social justice, we the consumers are Joel being beaten to death with Druckman's message. The only problem is now we know what to expect so unlike Joel we are not bound on the floor being held hostage, we pull a Star Trek "Beam me Up Scotty" and zap the fuck out of that scenario and go do anything else we want on this blue marble we call an earth than have to be subjected to a message by Druckman.

Druckman's message is now destroyed, exposed, and the world is laughing at him not with him. This is why this leak is so goddamn delicious. People now see the emperor for not wearing any clothes.

Pathologic devs had the unfair advantage of being born and raised in ex-Soviet shitholes. As a consequence, they're experts at creating bleak, depressing and hopeless settings and stories.

Meanwhile, the closet thing that these Western yuppies have had to any sort of hardship is having someone say mean things about them on the internet.

Because it’s not a walking sim and little bitches quit on second day because of the price spike. Same with the Void, game by the same studio, everybody gangsta and look at cg tiddies until the first brother arrives.
And because story about immortality of soul, conflict between reality and human creation, and consequences of said conflict does not have teen lesbians.

i don't agree with this
5 has an actual happy ending and is pretty lighthearted overall while 4 is way darker and the ending is really bleak. the only part where i agree with your point about 'cynical wank' is the trevor/johnny scene, that was pretty lame.
