Phil Spencer and the like are too friendly to do that. They'll likely just congratulate Naughty Dogs on TLOU2. Booooring.Sony did very well marketing the PS4 after the Xbox One announcement disaster, but that audience is definitely unreliable. Most people just bought their PS4s for CoD, GTA and Fifa, which you can easily play on Xbox too. Depending on how the next generation goes, they could easily switch to Xbox instead, and I don't think the weeb audience is gonna come back. Those niggas are spiteful.
If Microsoft is smart, they'll be posting TLOU2 memes on Twitter the second it comes out.
is it though? it's not like there's anyone left from that era of naughty dog. it would be jak 2 as interpreted by druckman.Best case scenario Naughty Dogs go back to making Jak and Daxter. But that won't happen.
The video game adaptation of The Godfather did it first.Watching people mock the hell out of this crappy emotional manipulation shit is great.
Also, all the NPCs have names and their friends whil cry when you kill them.
Seriously.

My personal favorite is where you kill an enemy, watch a crow eat the corpse, then kill and eat the crow. When you're in the river, those enemies will show up with the bird on their shoulders and shout "You ate me!".MGS3 did that first.
Actually come to think of it, I think this scene does what Druckmann's trying to do only so much better. MGS3 keeps track of everyone you ever killed throughout the game, and the game remembers how you killed them. For example, if you blow someone up, they'll comment about their flesh burning. The fight with the Sorrow and its difficulty is entirely dependent on how many people you've killed so far. The game never makes you try to feel bad or get you to feel guilty, but seeing the number of people you've killed so far does provoke an emotional reaction, like holy shit I've killed a lot of people. It's actually a lot more natural because it's dependent on your choices, and the game's showing you how those choices ended other people's lives.
Marissa Moira stopping his Sony dicksucking, even when it actively harms his other arguments, and causes other people to point out how dumb he's being and inevitably getting wrapped up in his console faggotry? Surely you jest. Can you fucking faggots stop derailing this active thread with middle school console wars BS? FFS.
You better archive the videos within the MEGA folder as well; if Sony went out of its way to DMCA 4chan of all sites, something that hasn't happened on the platform (as far as I'm aware anyways) since 2010, then I'm sure they've got no problem taking down other video/image storage sites along with them. Also here's the MEGA with all edits so far.

That level of detail in MGS3 was inmense, aside of all the other things you can do like destroying ammo caches and food supplies, all of that having direct consequences on the soldiers. You also can find the End's parrot in the river sequence screaming "Grandpa" if you killed it during the fight. My personal favorite is where you kill an enemy, watch a crow eat the corpse, then kill and eat the crow. When you're in the river, those enemies will show up with the bird on their shoulders and shout "You ate me!".
I think the whole thing kinda run out of steam, especially with the Simp-gate happening right now. The main thing to look for is memes and whether the final product will be changed or not.Can you fucking faggots stop derailing this active thread with middle school console wars BS? FFS.
I read the OP of that thread like three times and I still have no idea what the fuck is going on.especially with the Simp-gate happening right now

These are all great ideas, and I'm glad @Ponderous Pillock will make something out of them, but I don't think that "fun" will translate to something people want unless you make something truly special with it.The suggestions would make infinitely more fun games than most of what we have right now.
Probably, but I'm still expecting this to be like the Tomb Raider reboot, where it will sell millions, but still fall short of expectations. Depending on how much money Sony sunk into it, it might even fail to make it's money back.I think all the bad press will still give it a bit of a hit, but she’s probably right.

You can have a carefully researched war game that takes into account everything from turret rotation speed to the average accuracy of a soldier during the time period, but people are going to ignore that and play Warhammer 40k instead because land raiders are cool.
People want the unrealism of the Mad Max setting. Endless deserts, cities reclaimed by nature, modified cars, raiders wearing random junk as armour. It's all part of the appeal, along with this idea that when the chips are down, you'll make the smart and moral choices. Zombie apocalypse stories often have a similar fantasy element.

We won't hear about it if it's failure. Sony is going to try and spin this as a success, and we'll only hear how much of a failure it was in an earning call or leaked memo. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think EA was trying claim Mass Effect Andromeda was a success right up until boxes of unsold copies started turning up in Goodwill.
It's a combination of that and having a massive, MASSIVE - I'm talking like the size of the Grand Canyon - hard on for Square Enix. Why do you think his profile picture is 2B from Nier Automata? For sarcasm, irony, or any sorta joke? Nope. It's similar to me with Homestuck and using Andrew Hussie as my profile picture, but the only difference is I keep that shit contained in the WhatPumpkin thread and don't constantly sperg out against anyone who calls Homestuck shit and defend them until the day I die.Ooooh is that what all the FFVIIR and RE2R defense was about? I thought he was just a fanboy for those particular games.
There's two other factors to this: the fact Sony spent millions of dollars on that tent...thing as part of a single marketing stunt at E3 that they still need to recoup the cost on, and that this is one of the few times Sony has had to mass-refund all pre-orders to people. Remember: people are lazy, to the point that a surprising amount of people will just straight up forget what they ordered, even if it's something important like food, because they don't give enough of a shit to check in on it. Cancelling a pre-order takes effort, unless it causes enough of a shitstorm to warrant it (see Warcraft III: Reforged); having it refunded and only notifiying people if they look on their website or e-mail that that's the case might potentially go unnoticed if you aren't obsessively following it. And by the time you do remember: there's a good chance you'll either already hear about how shit the game is or you'll see the leaks on accident while going about your daily routine anyways.Probably, but I'm still expecting this to be like the Tomb Raider reboot, where it will sell millions, but still fall short of expectations.
