Bit of a power level, but when I was young I noticed that older people would try to be cool and end up making fools of themselves in a sort of unironic version of the "How do you do fellow kids" meme.

I've noticed socjus lefties can be nearly 40 years old but they act as if they still have their finger on the pulse of youth culture. It's as if they have a self awareness block. They act as if they are still edgy teens when they are the same kind of boring moralizing busy bodies they made fun of 25 years ago. They don't seem to realize their jokes are as unfunny and dull as boomers posting minions on Facebook. And when it comes to former minor celebrities like Bob and Jim Sterling, they don't have the sense to bow out gracefully when the curtain falls, instead they cling on desperately, sacrificing any dignity they have for what sliver of lime light they can get.

I get that Bob is proud that he did a funny, but it's not going to go viral, and him trying to spread it around himself looks desperate.

While I'm on this tangent, I there was a few game related announcement recently. The reveal of Unreal Engine 5, the reveal of a new Paper Mario, and the Last of Us 2 leaks. This led to console war sperging which I don't really understand because even back during when there was substantial differences between the consoles it was rarely malicious, but then you get people like Bob who not only take console warring way too seriously, they are still fighting a console war from almost 30 years ago.

Bob hates the idea of private space travel because it's "for dudebros" or some shit. He's so autistic that it just has to be NASA doing it all. I really hope SpaceX can put people on Mars within the next 2 decades just for Bob's reactions.

I think the "for dudebros" thing came from GamerGate. I forget how it started, but there was a meme that GamerGate was going to build a colony on Mars. This was later followed by Brianna Wu claiming that GamerGate was going to use private space companies to fly to the moon and throw rocks at his house, exploding with the force of a nuclear bomb.

GamerGate was weird.

I was going to say that it was just stockpiles from March/April when people were panic buying, but given the seasonal decorations and general filth, that's looking like a long term problem.

But I don't expect anyone to have read the whole thread. There are plenty of newcomers who come into the thread every month who haven't done so and you don't see me saying anything to them. But I'm still speaking from a position from having done so. I lurked for a long time before I joined and I didn't join solely to dunk on Bob. It is fun to do so though, but having read a lot about Bob and all the shit he's said and done, a lot of the low effort jokes aren't good for much more than a quick chuckle. Old posts and acts by Bob are periodically dragged up for the same jokes to be made. Usually I just wait for it to blow over, and I've already admitted I should have just done the same again. But other posts like the Hamilton tweet were starting to get buried under several pictures of the same kid and dirty counters. I wasn't reprimanding you (besides anything else, I have no power to do so), I was simply stating my two cents, that I didn't care about the pictures. Sometimes people agree with you, sometimes you get rated autistic. That's the beauty of Kiwifarms.

I guess I'm just not seeing the smoking gun. Bob is a slob and I'm not surprised that the rest of the family is similar. There used to be a sentiment that perhaps Chris was different but the more he speaks the more he shows himself to be Bob Lite. Bob is a bundle of hatred and delusions of grandeur nurtured by inaction and appeasement. It stands to reason that if his family had the slightest modicum of understanding of just how horrible Bob's world view is, they'd have beat it out of him /disowned him outright a long time ago.
