Do these people not understand that social media is a privately owned space? Twitter and Facebook always reserve the right to curate the content on the platform without taking responsibility for it. Deal with it. If you want a platform, buy a domain, rent a server, make a website. Whiney bitch.
That argument falls apart when the federal government in its infinite short-sightedness, has set legal precedents in the courtroom when it comes to social media. Same thing with "just start your own payment processor" when legislation has been written to effectively protect monopolies. Instead of dealing with it a quarter of a century ago, they kept kicking the can down the road, to the point where private corporations operate as a quasi-public utility. Room temperature iq take here, wouldn't expect anything different from you though.
