If Druckman wanted to do something deep n dark with retaining series integrity, he could have focused the story on an entirely new set of characters with cameo appearances from original characters (like in RDR). Or he could have written the game with more respect to what fans liked about it in the beginning.

As pointed out several times by now, Druckman doesn't give a flying fuck about what the fans want. TLOU2 is entirely his baby for him alone, a vanity piece to the tune of 7 years, $100 million dollars, and the corpse of what used to be a respected video game development company.

Reminds me of a bit from Dead Space 2 where for the entire game up to this specific point, the hacking 'mini-game' is fairly mundane and simplistic, but requires a lot of focus.

Now, this is fairly late into the game, but as you're heading to some next objective, you walk up to the door and start the hacking process, nothing unusual...until you're halfway through. At that point the game takes advantage of you having been trained the entire time up to this point to focus on a little spinning dial by suddenly ending the activity through having the door suddenly thrown open and a crazy guy (makes sense in context) pins down Issac trying to kill him.

Ultimately it's just a jumpscare/QTE but it only works because of the video game medium and wouldn't have as much impact as if it had been relegated to purely a cutscene.

There's also the moment in the game where you have to do the hacking minigame while the regenerating monster is hunting you in the same room

Troon titties are often implants, yeah - natural are usually very small and gyno looking. Estrogen gives you that pointy tidy, progesterone further grows them, but they never look like cis titties.
