I don't have a lot to add to this discussion but as someone who participated in that server I can talk about the common themes I noticed since Scenes are the topic now.
Members of the server, especially Glip would act in cruel ways and then justify themselves with "the person I was being cruel to are a bad person, so it's deserved". For example, once I complained about being shit talked in a channel I was allowed to watch but not participate in the discussion. Eventually, Glip and their moderators cornered me and mocked me, with Glip justifying themselves with the starving child in Africa fallacy of "I endured worse from kiwifarms". As if that somehow makes how they treated me as an individual okay. Additionally it was implied to me that speaking up about how I was being treated was considered weak or fragile. I noticed this happening across the board to different individuals, unfortunately i did not gather proof besides for my own experience

this was back in october, and glips online persona at the very least has undergone a radical surface-level change, so i can only hope theyve actually realized that they fucked up and that shit isnt acceptable. not even mentioning the fact of how hypocritical it is for glip to spew "pain is valid perceptions are different for every individual" and then to say "your endurance sucks" what the fuck lmao

as for the rootie doc, i actually felt there was some sincerity. the way glip words their sentences, the way they mostly take responsibility and dont turn it on rootie, how they acknowledge how their ignorance (even due to marl's triangulation) harmed rootie. they apologize profusely and constantly reassure rootie that she wasnt at fault (bc she wasnt). its completely different in tone.
im confused, though, because glip calls rootie their friend near the beginning of the doc, but then reasserts a couple of times that they didnt really know her. i actually remember rootie FREQUENTLY replying to glip's tweets, especially around the time they submitted art to forflor. i personally was introduced to rooties work simply from seeing them reply to glips tweets (Before she submitted stuff to forflor). so im curious as to how you can have so much communication online, collaborate on forflor pieces/ideas, and then.. say you werent close?
if it was just glip saying this then id just think they were deflecting, but rootie's account solidifies this, and she seems like a relatively reliable narrator. so i'll believe it for now, even if glips account is a bit contradictory.
if this IS sincere, though - and again, glips syntax and way of attack (or lack thereof) is completely different here so im inclined to believe it is - then it really shows how disingenuous glips previous apologies were (esp to lain and fluff lol). you can tell that glip knew more than they were saying in those, that they werent being truthful, they constantly turned the victim into themself, etc etc.
i WAS about to say "wow, you know what, maybe glip actually is making strides," and then a document about goopy was posted. a few people have mentioned this but
why now? why not when they (both vee and glip) had originally made vague-ish tweets shunning goopy and simply calling her a sexual deviant/pseudo predator? the timing is odd, the intent/goal is unclear, the whole thing about it is odd. the way vee started off the thread, i thought something recent had happened that had spurred her to make another post about goopy. but no, it just... ended. she just vented about goopy, who i agree was super fucking exhausting god damn, and left it. its so out of place, such random timing.
anyway what a mess lol. marl was even more of a piece of shit than we all realized, go figure. it sucks that rootie had to deal with that shit. (also god, poor apollo)
