The name is literally a combination of Twin Peaks and Black Mirror.
The trailer even kinda looks like a twin peaks knockoff.

So I guess in terms of trans characters the MC from Faria doesn't count because it's an obscure NES game and magic made them trans. Still, it was in 1989 and probably a better game than a tranny walking simulator with an MC whose mom hates them yet can somehow magically afford to pass without being a dumpy girl wearing pants calling themselves "he".

TBH, I was watching the presentation yesterday and I didn't even pick up one of the characters was supposed to be transgender. I think I've gotten to the point where I see a Dontnod game trailer and it all becomes just a dull audio and visual hum.

In any case, if I wanted to be preached at, I'd go to a church (or in this case, the Temple of SocJus).

I'll wait for someone like Dartigan to do a video on it.

In any case, I sure am glad that the tranny main character has experienced exactly zero relatable problems to transitioning or any realistic backlash and that it was all sunshine and rainbows for him up until the... what, plot or conflict of mom dying? Talk about wish-fulfillment.

In LIS2 the player character was a boy which is practically a hate crime and the initial teeth gnashing about "erasure"* probably didn't help it.

I actually really enjoyed LiS 1. Then I tried LiS 2, which started with the bully character sitting under the American flag and a character literally stating they should build a wall to keep you out. Never even bothered with episode 2.

Upon realizing I had paid full price for it I powered through up until the weed farm. It doesn't get better up until that point and looking at YouTube videos it doesn't seem to improve in general.

Honestly, storywise it's not as bad as LiS2. At least there's some actual murder mystery (kinda). If only they actually committed to making it a proper psychological thriller instead of another transgender drama.
Seriously, the fact Tyler is trans is referenced by everyone and everywhere and I mean literally every five minutes. So much for avoiding stereotypes.

And the ending of the first episode where turns out it was the sister who stabbed the mom and the trans child took the blame is both funny and uncomfortable to watch because of the reveal that the mom wasn't transphobic and it was a misunderstanding, apparently.
