"Now go make some chocolate sims!"
Just say black for fucks sake. Calling black people, "chocolate" people, has just never sat right with me.

Why am I not surprised? I always thought something about the Sims 2 community was off. It seemed nice and wholesome, but it always felt fake as fuck.
The Sims 2 community loves to gloat about how much better they are than fans of the other games yet completely memory hole all the awful past drama and have done the exact same things they accuse other fans of. They especially love to trash Sims 4 fans and while that fandom is a shitshow of its own it is so hypocritical.

I hate communities that talk about how great they are because they are small and close knit yet these places are nothing more than cliques. At least in bigger fandoms I can always find at least one or two sane people and a diverse set of opinions. In smaller communities all it takes is one or two people to take over and ruin everything.

Well known UK Simmer Plumbella has just criticised the game as a “white middle class American simulator” which makes no sense to me as a complaint. Begging for more skin tones is one thing, but insisting the game add more diverse experiences, whatever that means, is a whole other can of worms and I could only see it ending with more complaints directed at EA for “stereotypical” and “offensive” depictions of other races/cultures. Because stereotypes are only okay with the woke squad when they do it themselves.

Coming from a white, privileged tea lover herself :story:

the sims communities are just fishing for excuses. Anything that isn't forced diversity is considered a "stormfront" game and if you dare to criticize them you considered to be a monster in their eyes. Which is funny because the game is already way diverse than the previous games in terms of customization and facial structures but you never heard people talking about it because it's not "realistic"-looking enough like the sims 3 or the horrendous alpha cc.

They want Sim Prison I guess.

the sims community, in the time of being a 'woke activist', will never be happy with what the game puts out. this is the second time they've cried enough about skin tones not being inclusive that the developers had to apologize and fix it for them. and the developers just lay there and take it :( but i guess they're still getting money out of these people either way

Maybe they'll make a "Diversity Stuff Pack"

Of course, there's a lot of mods but never the escencial high-textured feet with separates toes.
Even Oblivion & Skyrim had one of those.

Oh, they exist.

"Sexyfeet" were quite popular in TS2. I don't know why they aren't used much in TS4, where the body shape can be modified directly instead of each clothing mesh having to be altered to include the feet.

I always asked actually because is strange having separate fingers in the hands but not in the feet.
More equilibrate rather than a classical fetish.
