Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

TBH anyone who cares about the outcome enough to save and reload could just google it and still get the best outcome.
It won't stop lurkers but it will prevent people who want to play the game normally from being tempted by the reset button whenever they fuck up and get immediately slapped.
I mean i don't want to savescum usually but if in say XCOM my guy dies and i have a save from 2 minutes ago i might just do some time travel.
Because the game lets me.

I wonder what your conversations with Rogue will be like once you get Johnny in your head.

Kinda curious as to how they're going to balance smart guns. If they do as much/more damage than everything else why would anyone use anything else when smart guns have bullets that can zoom around corners and you can basically fire and forget?
less ammo

I'm really hoping equipping weapons in this game is similar to rdr2, where all your guns are stored on your horse, in cyberpunk all your guns are stored in your trunk and you have to pick the right weapons for each mission

I have become mildly hyped after seeing the life paths trailer. Getting to play as a cyber redneck sounds pretty rad, although I'm not sure if it will actually affect the story all that radically.

My guess is that that's limited to the prologue, and all the paths converge at the job gone bad that the trailers have been focusing on. Games have gotten way too expensive to make large amounts of mutually exclusive content like Witcher 2 did. And while it's great for another playthrough, a lot of people would bitch that they got 'cheated' out of some of the game, like how some do with Morrowind and how being a member of one guild will lock you out of another.

From how they talk though, it will be something that will affect the entire game, including dialogue and how you can potentially interact with and complete some quests, and maybe even the endings.

Sounds a lot like Vampire the Masquerade : Bloodlines, where what clan you choose will affect dialogue and how NPCs interact with you.

Well, yeah, but that's basic bitch WRPG stuff. Even Bethesda games incorporate that kind of stuff. Flavored dialog choices and optional quest paths aren't exactly groundbreaking things. Like the guy above me said, Bloodlines did all that stuff, and that game can almost vote.

VTM:B changed most of your dialogue based on the clan you pick (just text, not the options mind you) but NPC reactions were for the most part unchanged, i think nosferatu dialogue differs the most but there is also significantly less of it.
What they said about 2077 seems to be that they want to give you unique dialogue options/actions based on the knowledge from your past, and using that would have both good and bad consequences. For an instance in the voodo boys quest when you find the netwatch agent you can say to him "id rather trust the voodo boys" if you're a streetkid ... and then get immediately betrayed by them when you do what they want.
i hope there is an option to make boxes you cant pick visible, but that will most likely have to be a mod.

Not really. the only other game that i remember doing this is Dragon Age and there your prologue dictates very little. Just because its in like 2-4 games doesn't mean its common.

I hope they fix the absolutely ridiculous fall damage that plagued TW3. If Geralt fell more than two feet he died instantly. I played it on PC with a mod that made it more reasonable and it was crazy how much that one little change improved the experience.

We should know if there is another delay in about 24 hours. That will hit 90 days until release date. Last 2 delay announcements were 91 days from street date.

On Faceache a meme which looks like the last delay announcement is going round but when you actually read it it's the lyrics to Never Gonna Give You Up.

Hard to say how, to be honest. Jeez would she stick out like a sore thumb though. Way too clean and pretty for Cyberpunk, and frankly, why carry Swallow when you've got a Kendachi mono-blade or an Arasaka thermal katana? Hell, Geralt's finest weapon in the books is a brand-new dwarven blade made using the latest technologies and techniques, so her blade would get laughed at for being a worthless antique on the streets.
Fuck both of those, get yourself a brace of spawnblades - memory metal combat knives that expand into roughly the size and shape of a spatula when stuck in flesh. They're balanced for throwing too.

Yeah, but so short ranged, and good luck parrying. Not that I personally care since I'm going to be using the biggest gun I can. You may be able to outsmart me... you may be able to outsmart smartgun... but can you outsmart ordinary boolet? And yes, I will gladly shell out the four hundred thousand EB for 12 seconds of firing if that's what it takes to down some of those full cyb juggernauts.

Gonna be "fun" to have those guys show up. Just wonder if we get any vigilantes in bat outfits to go after them, too. Considering you've got a posergang of Kennedy look-alikes and dudes with funny hats who love immolating everyone with cyberware that nobody expects, having the Batmen show up isn't the weirdest thing that could happen in Night City.

While mild forms of cyber-modification still make sense to me (i.e. replacing part of an arm, dermal implants), I'm still sort of wondering about the nature of extreme cyber-modification:

How much original human is there under the RealSkinn?
