Netflix's "Cuties" - The Preteen Sexual Objectification Equivalent of "Funny Games"

I thought it was extremely interesting that for once it's not evil white Christians but black Muslims. For all the posturing and the massive support Muslims gets, I guess now they're seen as a threat. They want to demoralise them just as much
Tbh, I wouldn't mind if the director got Theo Van Gogh'd in Roblox.

I get the idea of what she was trying to do, and I mentioned that there are non child-sexualisation elements of the story that show this, but she screwed up. She mentions getting the idea after watching a show where very young girls did this over-sexualised dance irl and her being shocked at their age. That's the ending of the film where there are parents covering their kid's eyes and looking away in disgust. That itself might be fine as a closer to hammer in the theme, but all the sexualised shots the hour and 15 mins before really isn't necessary, and it becomes uncomfortably and noticeably frequent throughout the film.

"Well, you see, we didn't tell our lead actress that there would be an actual sex scene so that she could convey the terror of being raped accurately- wait no why are you calling the cops"

Isn't that pretty much what happened with an actress that had a sex scene with Marlon Brando? She got butter shoved up her butt unexpectedly or something, the director didn't warn her to get a more authentic reaction.

So let me get this straight:

Film critics and journalists hated Joker and sparked a moral panic around its release that somebody was going to shoot up a theater in its name, caterwauling about how it was horrible incel propaganda to the point where police were deployed en masse to theaters where it was showing. They claimed that the film‘s message was “dangerous” and a call to arms for incels to rise up and commit terrorism, regardless of what the movie was actually saying.

Now, however, they’re defending Cuties, a film which exploits young girls in a misguided attempt to comment on child sexualization on the basis that “depiction does not equal endorsement”, which is a level of charitability that the never extended to Joker.

In both cases, they’re basing their opinions on what they perceive people who they disagree with politically think about these movies. Their priorities are seriously fucked to say the least.

And ironically, they literally hadn't seen it, and/or were outright lying about its contents. And needless to say, nothing of the sort happened.

And in this case, the molestation of the children actually literally happened during the production of the film, as part of making it. Instead of even being cautious and trying to minimize the exposure to the actors, they auditioned 650 kids just for the lead role. That is frankly suspicious.

It's harder to subvert Islam as the Koran is solid in its wording. And the main source of teachings are in the Middle East. And Arabs to their credit in this case, are a bunch of arrogant assholes who hate niggers and mud people.
islam can't be subverted because islam does not want to be subverted. this applies to almost all solid and functional regimes and ideologies

some examples:
tsarist russia could not be subverted, the ruling power was absolute. hence the reds only managed to gain power through a straight up violent revolution after the loss of WW1 had basically destroyed the regime.
similar situation in imperial germany. no subversion possible, but after the loss of WW1 a violent coup succeeded (at least for a time)
later on, nazi germany: absolutely impossible to subvert, only complete destruction by outside forces brought them down and subsequently opened up the remains of the country to renewed subversion. exact same situation in imperial japan.

tl;dr islam will never ever be subverted/infiltrated/pozzed unless some outside force literally invades meccah, nukes the kaabah, and forces them to give up their self determination and sovereignty completely.

Most nudity these days is shamelessly unnecessary

Not to be too much of a prude, but it really is. Ignoring such being done simply for the sake of fan service, I can only understand nudity (and by that I mean the explicit variety) being displayed to be disturbing (be it a mangled body, a body being autopsied, etc.), gross and disturbing in a psycho-sexual way, or perhaps with animal-like characters (like for example Medusa) but you rarely see these exceptions used.

It couldn't kill these people to either be a bit more modest or honest about what they're doing especially if it is for the sake of fan service.

Well, bros.

I took one for the fucking team. I watched the film and

it sucked.

So, Netflix really, REALLY fucked the marketing for this movie, lmao. This film is not about "a young girl finding her sexuality". This film is not about "a young girl going against her conservative Muslim parents".

No. This is a really basic mediocre movie about "new girl tries to fit in, gets caught with the wrong group, the wrong group drags her to greater extremes than even the group themselves, thus abandoning her initial beliefs she grew into". The main character is kind of a fucking blank slate asshole, desu. Obviously, the environment that she put herself in forced her to be that way, but she's not really a relatable or developed character. There's no sense of humanity within her. She's just some little girl and that's it and we're just supposed to see the events that she goes through that sort of make her devolve into this bitchy sorta character, even bitchier than the people she's inspired to fit in with. There's not even a sense of her getting some sort of repercussions for her actions throughout the film (she gets shouted at and prayed for ONCE), especially ones that probably would've, in the normal circumstances WOULD'VE, like her being 11 and posting a picture of her fucking PUSSY ON HER ONLINE PROFILE and the students know about this shit, yet no one reported about it and told the authorities? I find that proposition to be highly unlikely. That puts a big hole in the suspension of disbelief in the film and not just the film saying that 11-year-olds acting this way which even if you take the hypothetical that OHHH THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HYPOTHETICAL IMAGINING OF A WORLD IN WHICH 11-YEAR-OLDS ACT LIKE THIS WHEN TEENS ALREADY DO, it doesn't work, because this girl would've been fucking investigated for that child porn shit.

The cinematography of the film is so damn mediocre and shit. It's obvious that the way the story is told that they think the sexualization shit is bad, but the way they film it doesn't make it seem bad. In fact, they fucking glamorize it and shit. The way they filmed it doesn't really portray it in a tone that seems bad, it's just like ok, it's a thing that exists. The cinematography doesn't show that nor is it really acknowledged by much of the characters. There's no scenes that aim to make a commentary on this particular contest or how people get accepted into it or how these girls became dancers or whatever. No development (although there is tell not show of "OH I WAS DANCING SINCE I WAS YOUNG"), it's just a contest that exists in terms of the plot and we're just like "ok that happens". Like this whole movie is just like "ok that happens" and really we're just supposed to accept it because of DOWNWARDS SPIRAL DOWNWARDS SPIRAL. They don't convey any messages subtly or convey tone, it's just THERE and we're supposed to accept that it's THERE for the purpose of the story. I understand that the reason that they did this was that the film is from the POV of the main character, but making your movie from the POV of the main character is retarded within itself because it severely limits the overall message that the movie could try to make because the view of it is only through the girl and not through anyone else's viewpoint. It weakens the message because we don't see the other side of it all, how bad it really is for these girls, we just see it through the social pressures of the main girl and shit in the most basic way possible. The way that they told the story is so narrow.

The ending of the film (and frankly the second half where shit just kind of falls apart and starts to not make sense with the whole porn thing) is fucking awful. Like, we're at the whole dance competition and they're doing the twerking and shit and then all of a sudden she cries when she's suddenly reminded of how bad that shit is. And then she goes back to her family and shit and after a scene of her grandmother berating her, boom she's back to normal, and happy again. PLAYING JUMP ROPE WITH HER FRIENDS. WEEEEEEEEEE! Now she's fine. After all of the events of the film, a great big ol' slap of the face.

So, 2/10. I see a lot of missed potential with this movie on how it could've interpreted its message, but it really floundered. Definitely not one of the worst movies I've seen, but it's still a bad movie and it's one of the laziest and predictable ones I've seen in quite a while too.
Netflix and Frenchie blackpilled against Islam but pro pedophilia, I don't know how I feel now.

Only 49th?

@Petronella ...please put that stuff under spoilers.
Done.

It's scary how entrenched people are in politics that they will support child sexual exploitation just because they believe it's the other side that opposes it and this is unquestionably child sexual exploitation. No matter their reason for doing it, it is what it is. There were people behind those cameras being directed to zoom on the children's body parts. There was an adult telling those girls to shake their asses, smack each others asses, feel themselves up, etc. The girls were trained by adults to dance sexually. This is all child sexual exploitation.
This is a very good point, too. If you truly do believe the message is about the dangers of children being sexualized and made to grow up too fast, you have to reconcile that with the fact that children were exploited and sexualized to make this movie.

It honestly couldn't kill these people to either be a bit more modest about this or honest that they're simply doing this for the sake of fan service.

These are the same scum who scream bloody murder about some utterly innocent fanservice in some ecchi anime, but pedophilia, bestiality, and any other kind of repulsive shit-tier perversion? That's totally okay.

There's even a double standard I've noticed that degeneracy is only okay for some people. White women fucking dogs? Awesome, love knows no boundaries ya biggit! Man fucking a horse? GROSS, THAT GUY IS FUCKING SICK! Unless he's gay, then it's fine. Right until he dies from being ass rammed by a horse, then it's tragic.... except it's actually fucking hilarious when that happened.

If you're gonna be profligates at least be consistent.

Totally off topic and if you guys have a response it's probably best to dm it to me. I'd appreciate it if you did if you can answer.

While I agree in general with both of you, I'm curious what you both think of a movie like Lust, Caution if you've seen it.

as someone else said, the only good thing about this 'near pornographic' (interesting distinction) movie is that it isn't 'raising awareness' about child killing.

The pedophiles on the 'AllTheFallen' forum react to 'Cuties':

"Couldn't jack off to it, characters in the film were black"

God...people cannot argue. Why would anyone accuse any work of fiction being damned pedophilic if two kids kiss? Especially if its just a kiss to the cheek? Absolutely stupid vapid people.
