I go back and forth with how I feel about what Matthew is doing. But it's just getting to that sad point where he's just dunking on Faith's life, and fishing for attention with false promises.

I don't really go back and forth much. Sometimes I feel a little pain in my heart when I think about what the family (including him, but mostly the other kids) are going through, but for me it doesn't change the fact that I find his behavior to be incredibly unbecoming and irresponsible when you consider his other children. I guarantee you they'll be dealing with the fallout of his behavior for years, if not decades, to come, compounding the fact their big sister just up and left them. The man reeks of highly vindictive possessiveness coupled with very much enjoying being the center of attention.

And can I just say I find it so incredibly unsettling to constantly see Vickers refer to Ralph as The Gunt even in private correspondence (that eventually gets leaked). By his own admission he was even making gunt jokes TO HIS DAUGHTER over dinner while they were all at the hotel together. His daughter is a fucking nut job, and it might have absolutely nothing to do with her upbringing. Bad apples constantly spring from relatively good trees. But man, there is something about Vickers that makes my nose rankle.

What can't be denied is that there, again, has been no moments of introspection or acknowledgement of how Faith got to be Faith, other than her parents just flat out denying any responsibility for how she turned out. After the Godwinson interview, however, I couldn't judge them for that anymore, after seeing what kind of pain they were in. They're too focused on trying to get their daughter back to safety to really consider anything beyond that, and I don't blame them one bit.

I'm not going to creep into the family's privacy too much. They have vacation funds, they have been to many fun places numerous less fortunate kids can only dream of. I also don't necessarily believe she's pregnant (yet). The claim alone brings with it a bunch of positive outcomes for Ralph and Faith: Ralph can happily claim he's going to be a family man (AKA owning the alawgs), they can get the parents to back off or at the very least have some form of ammunition/bargaining power over them, and finally Ralph can grift with the added pleading he has a bub on the way. It's not even a case of me thinking Ralph's body is too fucked up to produce sperm , millions of failures like him prove they're fertile every year by pumping some dumb broad full of their seed and gifting the world another doomed child, so there is no reason to believe he can't do the same. It's simply the case that I don't trust a fucking word that comes from his mouth, especially when it's something that he doesn't have to show immediate proof of and (in his mind) can only help him win the numerous battles he's fighting. Hell, I wouldn't put it past them to fake a miscarraige on top of a faked pregnancy. More positives will come from that too.
