Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.

It does seem that Biden at least recognizes that attacking ACB for being Catholic is not going to play well, he called her a very fine person before launching into a tangent on Roe v Wade and Obamacare. I'm expecting the nomination to focus on that instead of Kamala sperging out about the Papist menace.

There's actually a really popular theory that Hamilton basically wanted to martyr himself, because his career was dead (At time time), and Burr was a New England secessionist. Hamilton also wanted to basically ruin Burr completely and utterly for the rest of his life and paint him as a villian. He didn't refuse the duel or make any attempts, wanted to duel him beforehand. He also knew Burr was an incredible shot and that he wasn't going to shoot at Burr beforehand because he didn't believe in taking a life. He gave Burr the best position to shoot him and purposefully egged him on.

So either Hamiltion was idiotic and reckless, or he wanted his death to have a purpose and he had a lot of pain but still didn't want to suicide.

Hamilton accused Burr of sleeping with his own daughter and basically hounded him continuously on other highly defamatory claims. Hamilton also shot at Burr but claimed not to have in order to gain sympathy. He was a scumbag.

I'm here for Trump not denouncing white supremacy and here's why. We live in the USA. People should be able to talk about and organize how ever they please about whatever dumb fuck toxic af belief. Nazis, antifa, the KKK, the black panthers, the proud boys, all of 'em. People seem to be ripping into each other way more violently since last night, I have seen a few outright mental breakdowns, people just generally seem more MOTI, and basicly shit seems slightly more fucked now than yesterday from where I am looking.

I'm not sure that's really a result of the debate as much as it is October madness has set in since the election is in like a month now. This is impossible to ignore since the debates have started. For the next month and a week, there is no escape from politics.

Okay real talk. Outside of obvious bubble we have going on here, is this debate going to help or harm Trump. I can't tell.

I really hope Trump wins. Overall, he has done a lot of what I consider to be good on the domestic front and hasn't been bad on the foreign one. I think it immaterially helped Biden. Biden had a low bar to clear and he cleared it. He didn't shut down and/or stroke out midway through.

He's probably ultimately a couple points behind in the popular vote and neck and neck in the Rust Belt (maybe a little ahead in Arizona, definitely ahead in Florida according to Baris' poll, who really knows about NH and ME). If things continue as is, Trump has a really good chance of getting elected. He really just needs the gimmes, AZ, FL, NC, and one Rust Belt state. That's totally possible. Of course, something major could very well happen. There could be a terrorist attack, a vaccine approval, Biden could have a stroke on stage—it's 2020, who knows.
