Just a clarification for all, any WA state university worth its salt requires two years of a foreign language from either high school, or be picked up from two courses in a community college. A couple colleges in the state require a third course to graduate from said college.

So Lucas never having graduated from high school--and most likely never taking any foreign language classes--was probably told he has to take foreign language courses to go to a university, He thinks he is gonna take Chinese at SCC, and that it will be "part of easy stuff to get out of the way".. He is so stupid and ignorant of the world he does not realize foreign language courses tend to be some of the most difficult of courses to complete.

That said I would love to see lucas ree trying to understand German grammar or French verb conjugation. At least those languages would be somewhat useful for him if he could somehow learn them. Hell even Spanish seeing as how he is in the US

Lucas makes a point of boasting about everything he sees as a benefit to him. The only time he makes a point of hiding things like that is when he knows he'll get in shit for it.
