The well animated nonsense is from Yugoslavia.Which country is this from?
Pretty much this. A lot of the first two seasons got their ideas by locking Justin Roiland in the recording studio and having him improv shit for an hour or two and then working from there, and while they started pulling away from that in season 2 it was pretty much dropped by season 3 where Harmon and a couple regular yes men started getting more sway - which also had the effect that it lead to a lot of in-fighting within the writer’s room thats been referenced inside and outside the show, procrastination, delays, and frankly Rolland probably just getting burnt out based on how he shifted his focus to Solar Opposites and video game design and just sounded so burnt out in the behind the scenes blurbs following season 2.All signs point to Dan Harmon’s writing style leaking in to the show.
I never caught the legendary private blog in full but just looking at Zuke’s end is a good enough cautionary tale.I like to reserve my pettiness for special occasions, but after reading their private blog I'm 100% certain they deserved everything they got themselves into. But that's a completely different tangent for a different thread.
Damn, didn’t know it was that bad. Though it really does explain that drop that happened in season 3. Even season 4 was a mixed bag.Pretty much this. Hell, you can practically pinpoint the exact moment Harmon started getting more control by how Roiland’s signature improvised belches and stutters got phased out of Rick’s dialogue until he’d go whole episodes without doing one.
Hopefully this means Freakazoid isn't too far behind.Oh no. Oh no...

And here I was thinking that the Animaniacs reboot was just a one-off thing.
fuck that shitIf people are just gonna ignore your garbage and watch old shit, then they have to make the old shit into the new shit.
"Hey this shit didn't work in live-action, I wonder why...hm...I GOT IT! We must just be using the wrong medium!" - Some executive, probably.fuck that shit
they're taking all the wrong lessons from this; you're supposed learn how the old shit worked and use what you learned to make the new shit less garbage
instead they're taking the old shit wholesale and just turning it to shit... again (I thought this was just exclusive to live-action movies and that it was supposed to be dying out, why is it spreading to cartoons?)
Paul Rugg tried to pitch something. It's not happening, but Freakazoid's gonna show up in a WBA show soon...Hopefully this means Freakazoid isn't too far behind.
For the suits, their motivation is having new episodes with lesser writers and animators you can pay less and give shittier contracts to is more profitable than just having the old episodes up on their own. With modern techniques and technology even cheaper and faster than it was to make the old cartoons even if you pay for actual frame by frame animation. And then compared to an existing show you have built in audience awareness for it. "New" is risky.fuck that shit

The problem is if both are available, and one is obviously superior, and contains these views, it shows what people who hate these views think: they are degenerate and lead to degeneracy, which is the lowering of the quality of something over time. Something actually "progressive" should improve it. The way to show that your views are superior is by actually producing superior products. If it actually degrades and degenerates in quality, that's the message that actually comes through. The idea is that society will come to accept woke views as common sense if they're omnipresent in media (optimistic.gif). So you gotta have the new shit side by side with the old shit and pretend it's a natural progression and essentially the same thing, or just replace it altogether and hope people don't notice.
That means we’d have Eric Bauza voicing Plucky and Bob Bergen voicing Porky. One VA I could see not returning is Charlie Adler but that’s based on how he’s kind of become a ghost in the VA industry.I didn't expect that.
I guess they could get most of the cast back. Plucky and Hamton's actors are both dead, however, so they'll have to be replaced. (I assume by whoever's doing Daffy and Porky in the new shorts.)
I have a feeling that Elmyra not coming back is due to the shift in what’s considered “acceptable” in animation now and the setting of the show, judging by the promo pic swapped Buster’s sweater for a varsity jacket I have a feeling the reboot might be shifting into a high school/college setting (Yecch!) and having a character like her could be a serious issue that the studio doesn’t want to deal with.Cree Summer just broke the news that Elmyra will not be in the Tiny Toons reboot.
Evidently they're paring down the cast. I feel for her. I wonder who else is on the chopping block.
That and he's become extremely out of control when it comes to politicsOne VA I could see not returning is Charlie Adler but that’s based on how he’s kind of become a ghost in the VA industry.
I know he‘s more of a voice director these days, but he came back for Rocko. It’s possible he could come back for this. (If not, is John Kassir still working?)That means we’d have Eric Bauza voicing Plucky and Bob Bergen voicing Porky. As for what characters might get cut it‘s difficult to say at this point, using the Looney Tunes Cartoons voice cast list as a guidebook makes it difficult and I think going by current animation trends is just going to make peoples’ blood boil.
I remember that series on NickToons, back then NickToons was a lot more diverse and had way better programming than Nick. It was how I first watched Invader Zim at 5am. I also remember Kappa Mickey and Wayside School being originals to that channel, I believe?Who remembers Making Fiends?
> show premieres without any promotion or advertisement
> it gets really good reviews
> suddenly cancelled without warning after 6 episodes
> Wikipedia says, "At one point, it was the highest-rated original program on Nicktoons. The show was abruptly cancelled after airing six episodes due to the poor ratings" which is a contradiction
When you Google this, you get some outlets saying it was received very well and got good ratings despite no promotion, then you get "it was cancelled because of bad ratings." How do you get cancelled from Nicktoons? Isn't it basically a dumping ground for anything not Spongebob or TLH? You are an original program for Nicktoons but you get cancelled and they stop airing reruns? Nothing ads up.
The creator's not happy either. I don't think she can even exploit her old web shorts anymore, which is a shame because I liked those and I liked the show.Who remembers Making Fiends?
