I love how he claims to be mature but goes on facebook and repeatedly posts a purposely offensive word and says he won't stop until he is given what he wants. He's having a temper tantrum like a child.

Well the owner, Julia the scammer, is still trying to remain relevant and is still continuing her nonprofit with funds she had left from her contract and handouts from people donating to her. She opened this makeshift warming shelter a couple days ago, and it looks exactly like a drug den with used nasty furniture, etc.

Pretty sure ol'Lucas has put up shop there.

You can't survive outside in it. It's not like Seattle or the Tri-Cities where you can be year-round homeless in a tent where snow and prolonged freezing temps are rare. You need shelter. It is pretty common in eastern WA for temps in Jan/Feb to be single digit highs down into the negatives for overnight lows.

Yes.

Untreated diabetes can do lots of awful things to a wiener. Damage to nerves, blood vessels, etc. His junk would stop working, first, assuming he hasn't already reached this stage.

So basically she was accused of theft, a charity employee served prison time for embezzling from another nonprofit, and the city awarded Jewels Helping Hands $750k to run a warming center? That feels like a lot of money just to have some cots and trash service but with a city budget of nearly $1 billion (source) I suppose it's a drop in the bucket. It's shocking that the Saga of Lucas probably plays out hundreds of thousands of times every single day in America, with taxpayers pissing money away to shelter lazy bums, doing it out of a sense of altruism for helping fellow humans or optimism that there are more people like Will Smith in the Pursuit of Happyness and less people like Lucas Werner in the Pursuit of Teenage Poonaner.

The hospitals hire a shitload of staff to run them out. Also they and the police are on pretty good terms with the UGM shelter to make sure they don't get wiped out every year.
