I hadn't read Cliff before and it is weird reading a Hopkins comic with like... backgrounds and mood lighting and competent inking and figures that are slightly less mooshy than usual.

The other dude working on it actually managed to make it look... passable? Roz Gibson deserves some kind of award for making Jack halfway visually appealing. I mean, it's still gooey-eyed cartoon animals and gore, but at least it's less sucky gooey-eyed cartoon animals and gore.

I'm not finished with it yet, though. I can't wait to be horrified.

You're going to love the screaming barrel, it's a Hopkins masterpeice. It's about a salamander named Sandy and her sister, a weasel named Twone, and Drip's in it so you just know it's gonna be good. Theres a giant, smelly, noisy barrel that's somehow a secret and there's an excellent deus ex machina at end.

I actually finished 'Cliff', and my thoughts on it (other than I want my 20 minutes back) is that it could have been not terrible. Entertaining maybe, at best a Spawn / Crow / Mad Max 1 derivative, but not mental-as-rocks furry rape porn...

I've read it. Like a lot of Jack comics, it contains an interesting concept that is ruined by Dave's horrible execution.

I like the remix so far, though. Sandy is actually really adorable in it.

As far as I know Roz is as much of a horrible person as Dave, it's just that he's a far better artist.

The Cliff "series" (it's only two comics lol) is pretty terrible. I love how the female character throws herself at Cliff for absolutely no reason and is depicted as a hero for it, even though any normal person would have called the police.

I don't know much about Roz other than she's buds with Dave, seems to also enjoy drawing rape, is a better artist and writer and I'm pretty sure she's a woman. That's weird eh? a woman who's buds with Dave. It's almost as weird as Dave having a wife.

I like the part when Cliff murders the woman for sleeping with her abusive husband while he "Slept on the jungle floors".

The rape scenes are usually not explicit. He only depicts one act of child molestation in Suffer and it's shot from behind; you don't actually see anything except the rapist's bare ass as he masturbates in front of a naked minor. It's fucked up, but it's not as fucked up as what you get in The Case of the Traveling Corpse. Here's the remixed version of that page:

By all accounts Katie (his wife) is pretty okay for a furfag. She doesn't have the same fucked up internet history Dave does, apart from RPing with him on a couple Web 1.0 sites. She also said that Dave was her first so maybe it's lack of experience that kept her from finding someone better. The only other boyfriend we know of is Matt "Dolphin Fucker." If that's the case then Dave didn't have a hard act to follow.
