Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Yeah, Judy gets the shaft (BUT NOT IN THE GAME AM I RITE) because they only had one 'good' ending to romances.

Also, I guarantee you 10000000% on why characters with penises can't romance Judy is because during the sex animation she goes down on you, they just didn't want to model one for dicks and another for vaginas lol. That's seriously why she's female only too. Because they were too fucking lazy to do a slightly different scene or another variation on one. It is INCREDIBLE how fucking lazy they were. Which makes Panam the only one to romance. Which really sucks. Feels like a Triss and Yennefer situation again. So they not only didn't include any of the basic features most people take for granted, they removed features from what they were selling and they didn't even learn from their mistakes last time. Holy shit. Fuck CD Projekt. I would put money on this not being open world and being MUCH more linear with a set story, but someone somewhere wanted open world....but never really wanted to put the money or time or effort into it. Seriously feels like a linear game slammed into a non-linear world.

Yeah, Deckers you'd have to basically...I don't even know. Wait for a DLC for them to include it. Or basically somehow make the hacking mini-games decking minigames, ala Deus Ex. Magic would be tough, but do-able. Shamans would be hard, because the AI is beyond fucking terrible. You'd also have to completely revamp stats and perks. It'd be extremely hard. Without it being built to be taken apart or have a very very very robust set of tools, it just isn't going to happen
I hate the fact that the romances/friendships kind of drop off a cliff till the ending. I mean there was still a few more things you could have done with your romance once you sealed the deal or friendship. Helping Panam get back at Kang Tao or Judy taking out the Tyger Claws or River with his job crisis. Just seemed odd but then again wasn't that how it was till Blood and Wine for W3? Hell drop the Gigs since most of them were meh anyways to make room for this.

Like I said the quickhacks are already a doorway into Magic for Shadowrun. The Metahumans could just get reskins. For Orks just reskin the faces of bulkier humans, elves just use female frames and Trolls have the Animals to work with, dwarves would be the issue though.

According to this guide, The Pickup (where you pick up the Flathead in the prologue) is the most complex mission in the game.

Which is funny, since there was clearly stuff cut out from when it was originally showcased in 2018.

After playing it a bit more, my main gripe with the game, havent had any of the gamebreaking bugs, is that the city looks super cool, but after a few hours in it, it feels really empty, no matter how many npcs are wandering around. The actual characters and story beats are fun and all, but the open world feels like a chore to traverse and there is little incentive to explore. I dont know how big it is compared to other gameworlds, but it feels really small.
Edit:
Could they have made this work as a non open world game?

God, they metalized some of 'The Witcher 3' tracks and all I'm thinking.

"Man, I still didn't beat The Witcher 3 with expansions and fuck a busty Redhead. And I'm playing...this."
You didn't rail Triss in Witcher 3 yet? It's been years already. What's taking you so long? That's one of the few good things about that game despite her man-jaw.
My advice: Take a break. Go back to Witcher 3. Go through the segment where you get to Triss so you can give her the ol' Wolf-in-the-Sheep, then drop that game because it's pretty crap aside from a few bits regarding Ciri and go play a better game like Armored Core or Growlanser or Suikoden or Checkers or Deus Ex or Deux Ex go play Deus Ex again is what I'm saying

No but really unless you're having fun getting mad (we all do) then either take a break or stop playing it altogether. It's that whole "sunk cost fallacy" thing, man. At some point you have to just cut your losses and realize its better to have wasted money than to keep wasting time.
In a way it's like this:

Apparently 8 fucking years weren't enough, Poor CPDR, no one can create a functional game on current & next gen consoles & pc in 8 years and with over 100 million dollars. Something shady might be going on...

Too much corporate/investor interference and too much of a focus on graphics over gameplay and design. Probably with a dash of disillusionment or just no actual talent in the programmers and developers themselves.

Considering one article from Bloomberg mentioned the deadlines being from the board of directors, I wouldn't be surprised if corporate/investor interference fucked up development in some way.

New reports are saying that game was in full production since middle of 2016, not 2012, which makes it 3,5 years in development, not 8

@everyonewhopreorderedcyberpunk2077 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I didn't hope for the game to be shit and I don't actually care but I am enjoying how inordinately upset so many people are at the game and CDPR. If only they got mad at them for bowing to 50-cent army on GoG instead.

Also anyone who thinks this game or damn-near any game in the history of ever was constantly developed for 7+ years needs a wake-up call. It clearly wasn't. I mention it, having not read much of the thread still, because I see so many people making this dumbass claim of "They worked on it for so long so it being this bad is inexcusable!"

People are mad at them for sucking off the CCP. I've seen plenty of people angry about what they did to the Devotion devs and even bringing that up in light of their perpetual PR suicide involving CP2077, PR suicide like...

The only upset I've seen related to Devotion has been on their own forums. I'm sure it's on reddit too but I don't go there.
Outside of the usual CDPR scope, aka in the normal gamer world and among friends/associates, it's just Cyberpunk complaints as if it's the first thing ever to be a busted mess on release. People almost seem to take it personally, it's hilarious only because this isn't even unusual. People really should stop pre-ordering games they know fuck all about.

Regarding that pic... they do it for free... Forum mods everywhere are so often dicksuckers and I'll never understand it.

The first teaser was released in 2013. They likely didn't have everyone shift over to active development on it until after Blood & Wine released in 2016 but they knew by sometime in 2012 what their next game was going to be and likely what they wanted it to be (an open-world RPG). Yet given how haphazard the story is in the game you'd think they hadn't even decided on a main plot until 2020.

Word on the street is that the plot was heavily overhauled by the dangerhairs after Keanu was onboard

Agreed lol
As for CDPR's Devotion scandal, I saw some bigger youtubers mentioning it as well so the word has gotten around by now. People are definitely angry, it's just that the vast majority don't care and only care about themselves. But is that really shocking? The majority are always self-absorbed limp-fisted retards. The phrase "IT DOESN'T AFFECT YOU" wouldn't have caught on otherwise.

So it most likely that they lied their assess off and misrepresenting the whole game, now its biting them back.

Yeah, would be suprised if people still remember the Blizzard controversy.

God, that really pisses me off.
Celebrity cameos are already quite trash most of the time, but then they make him one of the main plot points in the game?
AND it's fucking Keanu Reeves, the actor who only knows how to beat people up but can't emote if his life were on the line?
FUCK THAT.

Also, I have no idea why I'd ever want to side with the Voodoo Boys who set you up to be a suicide bomber over the '''evil''' government agent who doesn't lie to you at all, is completely straight with you, tells you the truth and keeps his promises. Only an idiot would listen to Johnny's advice (who is completely wrong about the entire situation). Fuck them off-brand Haitian motherfuckers.

You might just say, "Well, then they could have put that time and money elsewhere" No. No they wouldn't have. I'm not letting those polish faggots get any more excuses. Shit, they could have hired a Source Porn animator to do the fucking thing and get a whole fucking minigame (literally) for probably how much money they spent modeling their 'sex scenes'.

Because games have to be movies these days I suppose.

EDIT:
God these bugs are infuriating. In 5 minutes:

>The map itself was busted in an area because the areas were shown as 'open' when in reality they were blocked off in the game. Other areas were not like this. The designers did not sync the quest markers properly to the map, so you ran around in circles. Either that or the map/quest were different and never updated and synched it to the new quest.
>Quickhacked and short-circuted not one, not two, but three enemies who all were electrocuted and just stood stock still, upright, with 0 HP in an idle animation as if they were alive, but were dead, their items lootable from their upright bodies
>Last guy alive was 'hiding' behind cover, as in, his skeleton fucked up and he was on his side in the ground at about a 45 degree angle shooting at me.
>Gunned down the survivor to only have "POSITION BEING REVEALED" as if I was being hacked, stuck on my screen at 0 percent done, out of combat, with its obnoxious beeping noise, forcing me to quit back to the main screen.
>Lip synching stopped working for an NPC, so he was there talking to me. His expressions changed with his dialogue, but the lip synching did not update, so he was staring at me with ANGRY FACE while his voice lines were going.

I'm just fucking astonished at how bad this is. Imagine how bad it must have been previously that they didn't ship it out. I have honestly not had a game like this in such a long time.

EDIT2:
Another thing I just realized, the hard way.

About...five minutes after all the glitches I encountered in five minutes...my game broke. Well, to be fair, it didn't so much as break as "We fucked up this door, so it won't open for you, so you can't progress anymore". I tried reloading a save. I tried quitting out and re-launching. Nothing. So I was like, "fuck it, I'll just turn on the console and punch in no clip mode." Wwweellll...............

Cyberpunk 2077 DOESN'T have a console. Not one you can add in XML files. Not one you can turn on. It, flat out, does not have one. And the only way to add one is through a mod.

And....

It doesn't have a noclip mode.

You have to...mod in....no clip. I wish I was joking. I wish, in the year of our Lord 2020, that a game would not have a feature of a game in 1990 had. A noclip function. Fuck you dumb Polish niggers. This is now a 5/10. And yes, I am taking a full point off for not including a fucking console and having to mod in noclip. How in the fuck do people think this thing is going to be moddable without a fucking console, without fucking noclip that you have to add in YOURSELF.

This will not be easy to mod, mark my fucking words. I'm more convinced of that now than ever. Eventually I got it to work by reloading a save from a different area and getting a transition. Because this glitch (Seriously, get this) carried over a modifier from the map where there were screens on doors and it opened them after a quest flag. That flag was never disabled and stuck around, so it added screens on ALL doors. I wasn't actually trying to open a door, I was trying to open a quest flag. Jesus christ. It was from the first glitch in my five minute glitches.

The problem was, the game was reading the map as open, when the quest flag was improperly enabled. So because the quest flag was frozen 'on' but the game considered the quest complete, the map did not sync properly with the game state. So, I was wrong. The map WAS correct. It was the entire play area that was wrong. So the game is for sure having problems enabling and disabling flags for quests and synching them to the game state. By the way, this was on the first run through of this section. So it isn't like a Q&A tester wouldn't have found this if some...any....decent Q&A was done.
Having it, and then removing it (if it is indeed the command console) is even worse. Wonder which dangerhair thought getting rid of it was a priority.

From the official site: "Removed debug console to prevent functions that could lead to crashes or blocked quests. This doesn't mean we don't want to support the modding community. Stay tuned for more info on that.".

Fuck's sake.

>It doesn't need to have a debug console or any modding support

So it most likely that they lied their assess off and misrepresenting the whole game, now its biting them back.

I am really, really hoping they get sued by the various investors that saw the 2018 40 min preview to keep this hillarity going. Oh and all the fun that would come out of discovery. Espically if investors got to see it before the public did. Didn't the stock price jump right after that preview?

The shadiness was their virtue signaling by hiring women solely because they were women so they could brag about it in some interview. Which was funny because ResetERA got mad because they were all white women. CIS women at that.

Still, they fucked up doing that because it created bloat with incompetent employees. Like how Microsoft keeps hiring pajeets for massive teams because cheaper and can fit more. I vaguely remember a study into wage gap that women don't negotiate their worth, either, so that was probably another factor for CDPR taking labor for granted. Anyways, none of the people they hired matched up to the Witcher 3's team and quantity does not create quality.

And before anyone gets mad. I don't care if they hire women. I care that they hire them solely because they're women and not women with passion like Amy Hennig. I feel the same way any time asshats like Druckmann who clearly hate this industry and audience keep succeeding.
