Oh hey we're back. Semi-related, but the YT channel The Roundtable put up a video about how the hatedom for SU and I can't help but laugh knowing that Lily is going to seethe considering they never actually mention her by name. The thumbnail is kind of cringe but the actual video is good from what I've watched.

The sad truth is there isn't any animated show currently going that has even half the staying power of SU. It's definitely a late arrival, but at the same time sometimes you gotta put bread on the table and go with a popular topic.

Steven Universe's hatedom is just as annoying as it's fandom was at its height. It very much became the cool thing to hate, which Lily clearly grasped at with both hands, considering she went from high praise to considering it the worst piece of media of all time.

Didnt know of the previous one already existing but if it's out of date a new one would be good.
Maybe the docs shoudl be categorized like one section about her relationships with people then sub sections dedicated to her fans (as a whole), Josh, patch, lizzy... and then another section about her lying about her cherokki-ness, about her being ahypocrite or what not, then also a timeline on a different doc. as some people may only be interested in key aspects, some people may want a cohesive timeline?

Also i dont want to doxx lizzy in any means but do we know if she lives in a state where it's illegal for another person to share her privat messages (dms) without her consent. I'm not too clued up on US laws but i do know in some states, you only need permission from one member of the dms (that also includes the invididual who may want to share them), but in others you need permission of all.
And do we know what the laws are on this is in Nova Scotia?
because if lizzy is living in a state where sharing private dms like this is illegal as lizzy hasnt given consent to lily- fucking yikes. I

Lily became the goddess of the spergs in "SU" criticism that made her the perfect strawman to point and generalize all "haters" in the same box (as if all criticisms were just coming from hate) It must be difficult to be placed in the same category as Lily Orchard when none of them are so hateful, disgusting and malicious accusers

Sorry to make the thread about a show and not the sperg in question, but yeah it's true. Any actual criticism is tainted because of people like her. I consider myself one of the bigger fans of the show but like any sane person I have stuff I either didn't like or thought could be done better but it's IMPOSSIBLE to have a proper discussion nowadays because it's either a love or hate it scenario. That's also why I tend to stay out of the thread in Multimedia since I don't really want to spend my time here butting heads with people over a children's cartoon show. I get enough of that on twitter and in an oddly lower case tumblr.

I think I found the tweets Mikaila was responding to and it's kind of cringe.
I'll be optimistic and assume the intent was good, but randos on the internet telling Mikaila and Ginger that Lily is a predator and they need to leave is only going to make the two dig their heels in more. This isn't a good way to try and convince the two to leave Lily, it'll just reaffirm to them that Lily's being unfairly victimized and make them more likely to stay.

It's so boring that the first time I tried to read on my own it took me three months will myself to do it. I'd describe the experience is like eating cereal made of cardboard with water. Despite how many disturbing themes there are here, it's so frustrating to read this story like it's afraid to put bad words anywhere, afraid to actually be as disturbing as it could be.
Rainbow is afraid of going to prison, but it doesn't mention that she is afraid because she'd be capable of raping if given the chance. The word rape is never associated with her or any of her impulses, she just wants to "do them" and even this is downplayed when the doctor himself tells Rainbow that she's not a pedophile at all, it's all fault of her male side and she's in fact totally fine. The potential trauma for any of Crusaders is never not even an issue, not even after Rainbow actually molest Scootaloo and does something to Sweetie Belle that'll come up later. The abuse that Twilight submits to Ascentia has some brief consequences and then it's completely downplayed and forgotten by the end. It's like Liliana wants to have all this dark elements in there and then doesn't touch them at all, or at least she actively won't let them interrupt with the "I love yous" and snuggles and cuddles and the vanilla sex.
I was expecting to be disturbed or disgusted. I was ready to be in awe at a true shitshow. What I found instead is the equivalent of sitting on the subway next to someone that just farted. Sure that it smells bad, I don't like it, but in terms of things that could have made me uncomfortable, this drags way too much to be anything else but annoying.
This is what Poke Madhouse would have been if it was written on fic format from the start. Nothing happens, everyone is always friends in the end and any bad implications is swiftly brushed under the rug for the sake of the things that Liliana does care about, which in this story are the sex and how cute the little girls are. Someone raping someone else is not a problem as long they say they're sorry and look properly sad about it.
I agree actually, but I do it because this fic comes up so much when talking about Liliana then it's worth for others to know what actually happens on it. My posts are only 5-7 pages on word while an actual chapter could be 14 pages at least, so if anyone is just as curious as I was they can refer back to them to know what the fuzz is about. I'd have love to have that instead of reading it myself.
