This is not unique to cows. I am an electrical engineer. I routinely must work with people who do not understand situational intelligence. They hold a misbelief that capability in one area carries over into all areas.
This is as old as Plato, who complained that artisans who were good at, say, making pottery thought their political acumen matter too. You see this writ large today in Hollywood.

Ok, so they released a new episode of the podcast. I've listened to it already and the contents were entertaining in the beginning. Later, i was just praying for it to finish.
So what did they say about "redemption roulette"?

Understanding someone else's emotion is NOT empathy. A trans activist understands that a parent will feel devastated if her son commits suicide, so he gives the parents of boy he's grooming this ultimatum: "Would you rather have a living daughter or a dead son?". In this case emotional understanding is used for manipulation and blackmail, and is the polar opposite of empathy.

Bobby has a knack of evoking empathy:

Somehow this gives me a strong empathy, a very strong empathy, towards Bobby's bullies at school. My heart races with theirs and I can almost feel their glee as they brushed Little Bob's mouth with a toilet brush.

1) I'm unsurprised that Bob's hobnobbing with Lib Dems on Twitter. For non-Britbongs, the ”Liberal” ”Democrats” are a political party that spent four years denying the result of a referendum and have a fetish for the European Union.
2) Bernie's the chairman of the Senate Budget Committee? That's up there with making Rashida Tlaib ambassador to Israel.
3) progressivism is a religion, change my mind.
4) Kiwifarms finally got mentioned! 🎉
5) I continue to be amazed at how Bob can go out and call socialist ideas ”obsolete workerist rhetoric” and then declare that he's a socialist.
6) aaaaargh. Fascism is a very specific ideology. It does NOT mean ”anything I don't like”, it means a corporatist economic system, social traditionalism and nationalism.
7) I haven't got the time to go over Bobert's simping for Marvel but what makes the MCU any more caring than any other big corporation?

I hate how the gun debate always goes to appeals to emotion. Of course, you look like a prick if you verbalize that a random shooting doesn't affect your stance but it's already breaking the law. Honestly, even if it was something I'd ever consider giving up, that kind of manipulation is frustrating for how obvious it's taking advantage of people and makes them someone you probably shouldn't listen to.

Always surreal seeing other Americans not understand the importance of an armed populace. At least people from Old World countries have an excuse culturally.

Really odd how his mind jumped to Swarm of all things instead of AIM which would tie better into the alphabet groups already being involved. I assume he saw some "Top 10 Wackiest Marvel Villains" list

So what did they say about "redemption roulette"?
He was inspired by another podcast and they would have 6 people and 6 movies. They will roll a die and say something good about the result.
And to be honest, it was really funny to see Bob struggle and huffle for roughly 30 seconds until he said something good about Man of Steel.

But we know that they do it to people they see still as "the good people" like Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox or Ruin Johnson. Never a single conservative political figure will appear, you can count on that. Maybe hopefully, one day, James Woods, Clint Eastwood or Mel Gibson will appear, but i highly doubt it.
On anti-vaxxers and Bobby's misunderstanding of empathy. BTW if you're afraid of fire, it is because you are ignorant and superstitous!
The whole "muh fire was first science" from Bob is a terrible stretch and shows how fucking idiotic he is. Even to this day, people are still afraid of fire and for a good reason: it hurts. We know subconciously, like animals (because we are still animals) that fire is dangerous and should be handled with care. It's something we all know, but somehow Bob thinks it's an ingraned superstition.

This reminds me of something i read a long time ago and rings true for Bob: Whe we are children, we blindly believe everything that is put in front of us. When we are teens, we faithfully cast away our believes seeing how foolish and stupid they were. When we are old, we look back on those beliefs we had as children, and we see the truth in them. Tradition and superstition still hold a faint amout of truth and casting them away easily is a good way to ignore valuable advice. As you see, Bob is still stuck in his teens, thinking that he is better than everyone else for not believing in fairy tales.
At long last, someone took on a MovieBob tweet that is neither the eugenic one nor the Poland one:
I remember those mugshots. Those were 4 amish dudes that got drunk and stole a carriage from their commune.
Doubt that Bob would understand that maybe, perhaps, those guys aren't the main example of "Red blooded american in a red state", even if i would rather have them as my neighbours rather than Bob.
Let's see if I get Bobby right: he seems to think that being responsible and exercising self-restrinct are middle- or upper- class virtues, or at least something that only the privileged can sympathize with. Poor people, if given the ability, will do whatever they want, even criminal things.
This is really scary but we should all know and be thankful for the fact that these two walking disgraces will never achieve or be in a position of power. At best, they will be forum moderators and nothing else.

But it's a clear indicative of their inmense ego and lack of empathy to believe that if they have the power, they should do as they please rather than have restrain and use it to make the world a better place. That is what makes a great role model: someone who uplifts those who don't have their strength or knowledge. Meanwhile, these suckers just want to please their enormous egos. I know i shouldn't be mad, but this level of egotism and obvious display of potential abuse of power really gets me.
Always surreal seeing other Americans not understand the importance of an armed populace. At least people from Old World countries have an excuse culturally.
Appeal to emotion is something that it's always done when it comes to the debate of having guns for personal use or not. People will always try to tell you to not hurt other people and be understanding, even when the situation calls for force against aggressors, which i think it's pretty fucking pathetic.

I could go on about my parents thinking that americans with guns are mentally ill psychos that will one day go to the mall and gun down everyone just for the hell of it, but i bet you can imagine their usual arguments.

You got to be good at making actors wear costumes and jump up and down on green screen and say something heroic with snark and wit.
Being owned by a Disney as they cozy up to the CCP and praise how they aren't afraid to shuffle their obsoletes off the board to make way for a Brighter Future™ is probably a big plus in Bobby's mind.

I have the definite impression that if you got into a real-life argument with Bob, you could reduce him to tears and incoherent rage by calling him an obese eternal virgin who no one has ever liked.
Just call him Bobert. That seems like a sticking point like "Fredo" is with Chris Cuomo.
7) I haven't got the time to go over Bobert's simping for Marvel but what makes the MCU any more caring than any other big corporation?
I would hazard this guess: it made nerd properties insanely popular. That suddenly made Bobert feel like king shit because he suddenly wasn't at the bottom of the rung in his own mind. Of course, his thoroughly unappealing, child molester appearance and dead moth-like personality are more responsible for that than his geekdom. But, for him, Iron Man was the moment the meek inherited the Earth. It's why he has the devotion of Hiroo Onoda towards it and I think it also partially explains why he has an investment in keeping theaters open. It's not hard to understand that titanic budget cape shit isn't going to be viable for much longer in a world where streaming is king.

1) That statement tells me he probably hasn't ever fired a gun. Large calibre guns, and please pay attention Bobert, kick like a goddamned mule. Sure, they'll put people down quick, but you really have to compensate for that recoil. You don't have hardly a shred of muscle, so a single shot from an M14 or M1 or even an old Springfield might knock you flat on your ass.

What would he even know about calibres and spray in pray or anything like that outside of a video game? Of course the mayoghouls often preach about keeping their rifles (unmodified semi-automatics can't be assault weapons you bulbous Boston prick) by their side for defense and it'd be hard to round them up and exterminate them if they kept them. Can't have that get in the way, can we?

2) If "fascist" and "racist" have definitions as broad as the Sahara, then he and his ilk can apply them however they want. If we actually made them more concrete and applicable with literature made by actual believers, then it would ruin their schemes.

I love catching up on this thread, there's always so much I didn't know and will have to read into later.

Last page you talked about how all smoothbrains called WandaVision "lynchian!" and there's a great screencap from 4chan that discussed "I am Jazz" as the definition of lynchian. I'm attaching it below.

Another round of Bob flaunting his status as a badass tough guy who owns a gun - but a classy one, mind. Only a gent with discerning taste prefers a high caliber single shot to trashy assault rifles, after all.

Now, as a Brit, I know very little about guns, but I suspect either of those women with a 'spray n' pray' would be at an advantage against Bob and his single shot. If only because of the vast discrepancy between target sizes.

He says spray and pray, but fact is that those ladies aren't going to have much trouble learning to accurately aim sustained shooting. AR-15 is very mild recoil, not at all how it is sometimes portrayed by media. I do feel a little bad for it, but the mental image of Blobert starting a fight with some kind of elephant rifle, missing, bowling over onto his ass, and then getting ventilated repeatedly as he tries to roll himself back to his feet, is some Tom and Jerry levels of comical.

Late but I saw Bob's recent defense for his eugenics tweet and I can't wrap my head around Bob's defense of it being a bad edgy joke related to traffic and that's just what the fuck
If you're right wing and make a joke, you're equivalent to a Nazi.

If you're CinemaBobert and make a Nazi statement, it's just a joke.

Weird how that works.

Indeed, did Bob even know who Iron Man was prior to the film?

In regards to the bolded part, the COVID-19 pandemic does show how incoherent and self-serving Bob's worldview is. He often disdains blue-collar workers as obsolete and prattles on about "intellectual capital" or some such nonsense, but fails to recognize that survival of fittest applies to adapt to their environment. Prior to the roof, studios like Disney could spend absurd amounts of cash on capeshit films because the system was tailored for people to go to theatres to pay equally-absurd ticket and snack prices. Along comes the roof, which forced several states into complete shutdown. All of the major theatre chains closed their doors and many people do not even have the disposable income because they have lost their jobs. Thus the major studios like Disney and Warnermedia are turning to streaming as their future, however, that is not practical for a film like Dune with $300 million budget. Hell, Disney is moving away from its theme parks to make Disney+ the new cornerstone of its business despite projections that it will not be profitable until 2023-24. I can see the mouse tightening the belt as its income dries up because Bob Chapek is a budget-minded executive.

However, Bob is wailing that the government need to bail the theatre chains out, and I wouldn't be surprised if he wants them to bail out Hollywood. What he refuses to do is adapt with his environment and in doing so is becoming obsolete because his entire career depends on a business model that is unsustainable in the long term. I was listening to Ben Shapiro's interview with the producer of Run Hide Shoot (whose name escapes me) and the dude knows how to budget and market a movie--I'm actually interested in watching the film based on the what I have seen in the trailer. From what I have heard from this interview, we will see leaner and smarter productions now that streaming will supplant the unwieldy capeshit tentpoles that have dominated the medium from 2008 to 2019. Similarly, said producer said it take thirty days to break an old habit and sixty days to create a new one. Audiences have long since passed the threshold to break their old moviegoing habits and forge new ones with streaming services so I have difficulty believing that audiences will be returning to theatres in droves once the pandemic ends.

A massive meteor is heading for the entertainment landscape and Bob is one of the walnut-brained dinosaurs that will go extinct.

I truly wonder when it will hit him and he will go on an absurd chimpout/meltdown. We all see it and we probably don't care because a lot of the stuff done today is garbage or we don't want to give money to Disney/Hollywood. But Bob is like the average leftist that Yuri Bezhmenov said: Even if you give him evidence of the truth, he will refuse to believe it until reality slaps him in the face.

It will be a hard pill to swallow, but one that he will take for our amusement and because he has no other choice unless he goes to movie festivals, but you can bet that he won't be able to sit through a movie without recognizable actors.

Bob just doesn't know better. He really thinks that Hollywood and cinemas are this economical juggernaut forming the backbone of american prosperity. He really believes that agriculture and manufacturing in the US are dying fields only propped up with resources generated by Hollywood and Silicon Valley and inner city barristas.
Bob doesn't apply his usual survival of the fittest to the entertainment industry because he believes it's a vital industry that can't be replaced. He doesn't care about manufacturing because he believes it has already been replaced.
