He could and he would probably get away with it...as it stands does he really claim all his donated funds/items in taxes? The only thing he would lose out on is the write-offs for his business but Kat could double down on care expenses etc and it would level roughly I think anyways :)

Edit: forgot this, my oops

Yes, it does. It is person dependent obviously and the mental illness but Phil has a lot of problems he would get it with them all compiled.
Mental illness diagnosis isn't enough, though. Phil's biggest problem in trying to get SS(D)I would be explaining why he can't keep making $100k+ like he did for past decade. The same boomer ignorance and indifference that allowed Phil to get away with his bankruptcy would screw him here.

A plain mental illness diagnosis obviously not or most people wouldnt be working as it is (not really sure why people think im this retarded tho?) but in an individual and State level if it keeps you from enacting normal standards of everyday living functions and being a productive citizen in society, which Phil does clearly have, you could get it...... with Phil the sole problem would be history of diagnosis. He has no *known to me* history of acknowledged mental illness of any kind or form even learning disabilities and that would be the uphill battle.

And I think he would get away with the money anyways because he actually does not report the majority of his taxable income. Its easy to scam the system by basic lack of information/reporting especially when you have no legit work history within the past 12 years

I never watched any of the cyberpunk stuff. Had it on in the background today. Seems he's getting closer to a proper ToS violation every day. That's what happens when you get too comfortable in a job, you forget it's meant to be work.

"It's the wife beater ni-hat gang" - A Tom Sizemore reference would have been more appropriate, but that would require knowledge of something outside his bedroom and growing balls.

Edit: ....had to watch that a few times. Made me laugh. It's the glee in his voice when he realises he can say something incredibly funny like "wife beater ni..., before the the misery of cutting himself off and finishing with the morbidly banal "...hat gang".

Not trying to rain on your parade, but he says "knit hat gang". They're wearing knitted hats, except for the dude wearing a baseball cap, which DSP mentions.

The $1200 DSP claims his tax guy charges him is an utterly insane figure for tax preparation for a sole proprietorship which means: (1) he was lying to get people to donate more money or (2) he is also retaining his tax guy as an attorney to deal with his back taxes situation.
I kind of believe the $1200 thing. I believe Phil has said that he pretty much totes a pickle barrel full of receipts over to the tahx guy and dumps it out, and the guy is happy to sort through them all at his usual hourly rate.
It's incredibly wasteful compared to just keeping your own business records organized, which is why it rings true to me.

It's just sounds like bullshit because Phil lies 90% of the time. To me, is A) DSP, who is (was?) 2 years behind on taxes AND had to declare bankruptcy AND is constantly strapped for money, still so disorganized that he both has to spend many hours just gathering tax materials AND has to pay a ridiculous amount to someone to file the taxes...

Or (B) Does he just want mention the word "taxes" and "tax guy" as many times as possible to justify new begging for WWE Champions money?

I'll take option B.

DSP has always had this weird thing about rushing through games as soon as possible while still wanting to 100% them.

I would say it's for the sense of accomplishment, but I don't think that's it because he never seems happy when he accomplishes anything; he just seems upset that it took so long or was too hard.

I think it is a touch of the 'tism in real form.
I think it's for something like the sense of accomplishment: it's the ego he has about doing something that other people haven't, or that he's led to believe is special. Bragging rights, to put it more simply.

I can't tell you when it started or when/if it ended, but DSP used to interrupt all his games to check each worthless trophy he got in every game. It didn't matter if it was in the middle of a cutscene or a bugsnax style "action packed finale," he would check what every trophy was for.

I don't recall what playthroughs they were from, but I remember him complaining about the value assigned to achievements. "SEVEN gamer points???" was one that comes to mind. I think he also half bragged and half mocked "the common gamer" when he got some trophy he thought was easy and then saw only n% of people had it.

Gamer points, trophies and other systems like that were always a passive thing for me, mostly meaningless but occasionally with some interesting easter eggs or something. I know some people collect them obsessively, but Phil's brand of achievement autism is still strange.

It's definitely some form of autism. He hated DK64 and bitched about the game from part 1 until the finale but he spent almost an hour on one fucking optional minigame so he could say that he got all the golden bananas.

So in 4 streams, he's raised $543. Glad to know that he can still cry help and people throw money at him.

So if he only gets $57 today, he should still be fine to afford everything for Friday right? Unless I'm a mentally-ill dumbass who doesn't understand how life works

Lol Phil just said on the prestream he needs to hit both tip goals today. Already memoryholed.

It's a beanie! Unless DSP has the vocabulary of a 5 year old? I'm sure someone has put all the words he uses during a stream in to a magic calculator to get the age by now.

I'm not seeing a 'T' it in the waveform and that's just one of the hundreds of measures rent-free Twitch admin go to for ToS violations. They take reports very seriously, which is why he hasn't been banned yet. They're slowly working through them...

I shouldn't have to say this but I don't want to be impeached. Don't take the waveform too seriously, I'm having a bit of fun.

Phil just said that CDPR's games aren't proprietary anymore because the source code got stolen and now anyone can make their own games out of it. He compared it to a restaurant with a super secret recipe having their super secret recipe stolen so people won't have a reason to go to the restaurant anymore because they can make it at home(???).
But remember we're the ones who are kids who don't know how the real world works.

I have a theory that Phil actually has a sex drive but Kat wont put out because he's disgusting, which is why he gets weird about sexual related things in games.
highly doubt it, if memory serves there is that vlog where Phil and Pandalee went to a gamecon and while filming the room, she's sprawled across the bed DTF and he just doesn't give a fuck and keeps filming.

DSP doesn't understand the difference between intellectual property and trade secrets? Color me surprised.

This man is fucking retarded.
