Like I said, I'm having trouble tracking down sources because of all the collab positives with Holostars. Tried searching again just now and a comment on Reddit added Oga knocking on one of the ID girls' door during a stream.

I don't know, man, maybe she's talking all about it here?

You mean when Risu counting Moona's piggy bank? It's not Oga it's Moona herself. Holostars since start always in Japan and HoloID never been in Japan so the rrat when Oga knocking ID's door is false.

Funny enough all holoEN fandoms are pretty much cults at this time and the West Taiwan social credit report is open source to the world. I want those bugmen try to spam EN girls and let the cults face doxx and report them to CCP with reason that those spammers “disgrace the country” and we all know how much effort west Taiwan try to save face in the past years or so. Serious will be concentration camp or send to India border conflict to defense in order to save their family social credit (somehow BBC report fatality despite they fight with snow balls and sticks).
If what those info regarding the total number of antis remain is less than 10 is true then it’s a good case study to see if those people will end up in modern gulag.

Just wanna ask something regarding Vshojo: Gunrun is Filipino right? Is it odd that there doesn't seem to be a single one slated for their lineup, or is he just patently aware of how cancerous pinoy pride can be?

By my estimate, Filipino fans can be rabid supporters, but they don't exactly put up much buck for their bang. Rare is the day I see red superchats on flip vtuber chats from known flips. (Considering a red superchat is about a third to a half of average monthly wage, that makes sense)

I'm really surprised she even addressed the question. Personally, I wouldn't mind if she did join HoloEN if given the opportunity. She's entertaining albeit a bit too crass sometimes. Considering she just crossed the 1 million mark a month ago, I would question whether she would give that up to start from scratch. Guess we got that answer.

I don't get how race has anything to do with it.

That's like asking why Yagoo (and Cover) by extension didn't get a Japanese girl in HoloEN despite being Japanese themselves.

It's likely they chose the Vshojo girls based on suggestions from the "leaders" of the group, and it just so happened that there were no Filipinos that were suggested.


While I like my occasional rrat, this isn't 4chan. At least keep your rrats reasonable and grounded in some reality.

I'm fine with Nyanners, but with how successful VShojo is, I'd say it would be a downgrade to even attempt to audition to be in Hololive right now.

Tenkai Tsukasa's history is interesting; he's the leader of a small group of indies called BANs, which is so named since many of their older members had avatars of copyrighted chars, were excessively lewd on Youtube, or were otherwise extreme weirdos compared to other Youtubers. His previous avatar was that of Bitou Kaiji, both in appearance and personality. He's still mostly the same, he just doesn't look like Bitou Kaiji anymore so he doesn't get copyright struck.

Despite ostensibly being an indie, he collabs with Nijisanji tubers often. Hell, he collabs with just about EVERY vtuber organization pretty often. He's collabbed with everyone from Pikamee to Kizuna Ai. Oddly, he's friends with Gundou Mirei, who doesn't have much use for men generally unless they're a certain blond ikemen glasses wearing individual.

He hasn't, as far as I know, got any official collabs with Hololive, which is a real shame.

Not having any official Holo collab is most likely just due to Hololive being Hololive

Most of the Filipino fans who are affluent enough to have spare cash to splurge/throw on SCs are already simping for the EN gals (Red SCs with Php currency aren't uncommon on Calli, Ame or Gura's streams).

The few Filipino vtubers that are relatively "big" enough to have their own small following of Filipino viewers aren't really popular enough to attract the rest of the mainstream Filipino online trolls - which is where most of the usual "peenoise" and toxicity come from. Their audience are pretty much quarantined and relatively well-behaved (Lyrica's comes to mind) and most of the typical online streaming audience are pretty much fixated on the few Filipino e-thots they find live streaming mobile games on Facebook anyway.

This video makes me want to see Gawr Gura play a game against DSP. It would be hilarious to see him sperging out and accusing a shark girl of playing unfairly.

Side note, find it hilarious that this video came out a few months ago, and she was at like 900,000 subs, but is now at over 2 million.

In case you wanted to hear a perspective of this from someone that’s actually been in the country behind the Firewall, the day that never happened is basically an open secret. VPNs are widespread, but at least according to some anons the Chinese government can demand a VPN provider show what their users are doing underneath the encryption and they’re forced to comply. This lines up with my phone’s VPN apps all of a sudden saying “No longer available in China” two years ago...except I could still connect to US-based servers, it just took a few more tries. Kind of want to go after Rona dies down, just to see if anything’s changed.

I think Brittany Venti (and other thots) bitching about her had a lot to do with it, but I think there are some other factors involved.

External to her content:
  • V-tubers run contrary to Thotish culture in general which drives jaded dudes towards them
  • Thots online have become too sexual to be attractive so dudes are going to V-tubers because they're more "cute" than "sexy"
  • People like Brittany Venti are cows so people just naturally want to put themselves at the opposite ends of their likes and dislikes
  • Japanese entertainment is just overtaking western entertainment in general
  • Most people online now recognize that the whole loli controversy has a subtext to it well outside of the controversy itself
  • Most people bitching about V-tubers are extremely A-loggy even when they're in the right about some things
Internal to her content:
  • Her content isn't dirty for the most part which makes it a form of escapism for a lot of people
  • Because it's not overtly sexual, a lot of chicks like her content too (I know a female fan of her's IRL)
  • She actually has some real talents to show off (e.g. singing, gaming, acting)
  • Due to her being a mostly English V-tuber she's getting a lot of western fans
  • She has a pretty good sense of humor and can be outright trollish at times
  • She banters well with other popular V-tubers. This is likely aided by the fact that other V-tubers think she's cute
The last part is likely the biggest imo because it's pretty much the opposite of the kind of back and forth drama that screws up so many other online entertainers.
