Nope, but my gut says not very long or Sword and Shield came out in the state they did because a lot of resources were being siphoned to this.Speaking of which, do we even know how long this has been under development?

...One theory, here.Nope, but my gut says not very long or Sword and Shield came out in the state they did because a lot of resources were being silhoned to this.
I would agree with this but it'd be pretty radical to make a game that previously wasn't open-world one that is, they could have easily just followed the originals exactly but with 3D assets instead (GameFreak aren't exactly known for their innovation)....One theory, here.
Maybe they were planning to make DP more open world, but decided to go for a safer option halfway through (in response to SwSh backlash?) and turned to ILCA? Then the open world project was allowed to be more free and experimental, resulting in Legends.
That'd help explain why this is the first spinoff game explicitly set in an existing region. It was meant to be a mainline, and they built sinnoh itself, but they pivoted midway through.
They'll probably be some recycled assets in Legends, but with the remakes I feel like the only thing getting recycled will be the pokemon models. It's really too early to tell at the moment especially since BDSP is being worked on by a different company. That's what the remake is gonna be, Legends is likely just them recycling Sword&Shield's assets and development tools for another quick but major game to release, they seem to be trying to release either a main-line series game every year or a near main-line game like the Let's Go games.
Got a mirror? Video went private. So I just saw Unite's footage and god it's just Pokémon rumble but shit isn't it?
This is what we gave up spin offs for pokebros
I don't have an archive of the video, but I do have a video of some greninja gameplay:Got a mirror? Video went private.
Kinda sucks that you have to archive literally everything anymore. Even the most innocuous videos get scrubbed.
What the fuck am I watching?I don't have an archive of the video, but I don't have archive of some greninja gameplay:
I have the video downloaded but the file's too big to post for me.
The Pokemon Company trying to make a dotaWhat the fuck am I watching?
No, it must stay. For reasons...... I just remembered that one book from the Canalave library that more or less said pokephilia used to be normalized in the canon universe in the original Japanese version. 1) awful. thought i repressed that trivia. 2) i wonder if they're going to scrap that line in the remakes...? Hopefully so.
As if Pokemon fans needed more ASSFAGGOTS in their lives. The Pokemon Company trying to make a dota
Undoubtedly yes, if they already scrapped it from the English release back in the day then they won't revive it today. It was a weird line about people and Pokémon being indistinguishable in the past from each other and even being married. Whoever wrote it was probably Japanese so no surprise there.... I'm hoping it stays scrapped in the Japanese remake release too. While I always personally thought the line was more about people evolving from some kind of proto-human pokemon, which meant they could interbreed because they haven't actually evolved into humans yet (dumbed down to be explained as marriage since they might have been monogamous lifelong pairs), the common online reading of it is well, common, and frankly disturbing. Oi mate, just because I think justinrpg is a mega retard and funny to clown about doesn't mean I'm gonna cuck him for his RESHIRAYUM waifu. He says, with reshiram of all pokemon, as his avatar...
Obliviously not, justin has already said that Zekrom is his bull because "Reshiram's vagina was designed for zekrom" or something like that. Fucking NTR man...Oi mate, just because I think justinrpg is a mega retard and funny to clown about doesn't mean I'm gonna cuck him for his RESHIRAYUM waifu.
I think it's an interesting piece of folklore that's unique to Sinnoh (no mention of it being a worldwide thing FWIW), but its vagueness allowed for interpretation, most of which were unfortunate. Pokémon origins are still a mystery, I think the series is still undecided on if Pokémon are actually aliens (or only some species are) or if there was a mutation that allowed for magical creatures to spawn from normal animals. The PokéGods being there from Earth's (or even the universe's) infancy gives a hint they've always been there, but they might not have looked the same back then. Mew being the oldest species and being relatively unchanged evolutionary-wise makes it a missing link of sorts.... It'll have to be something to keep in mind upon reaching Canalave in the remakes. Game Freak went out of their way to erase mentions of real world places and animals in the remakes/reimaginings(?), wouldn't put it past them to make changes to previously-established lore just because the Internet couldn't be a nicer place for once.
