Even if you think you've disproven Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13, there's more than one Bible verse that denounces homosexuality. In the New Testament at least, I don't know how they could've possibly been any more crystal-clear regarding gay shit.

I guess the main argument that progressive Christians have against this is that Jesus never said anything specific regarding homosexuality, as all of the above were said by Saint Paul, rather. But does this mean saying that one of the most important founders of Christianity was completely wrong about something is just like "whatever", now? I'm not even Christian, but it's fascinating watching these weird progressive denominations bend every which way to justify literally anything they believe supposedly being compatible with Christianity. Really, it just means cherry-picking out of the Bible what they agree with and what they don't agree with, which was also a common criticism made towards traditionalist Bible-thumpers in the past... funny. It's like Biblical horseshoe theory.

The issue with quoting I Corinthians (its I not 1, as in "1st" not "one") is the original term was malakoi and arsenokoitai, which St. Paul made up (or at least was one of the first to write it). The reason I bring this up is leftists will say that this refers to pedophilia and non-marital gay sex. Non-marital gay sex ignores that no where in the bible is this concept mentioned and later on in Paul's writing, he explicitly states of one-man and one-woman marriages, but leftist will try to take things out of context to the extreme whenever it can fit their worldview. As for the two Greek words, they are first seen here but are combined from the words found in Leviticus in the Septuagint, which St. Paul used for his writing (Septuagint is the Greek old testament that Christ and Paul references). As Paul is referencing these acts in Leviticus (laying with another of the same sex) its clear that he means all same sex is abhorrent and will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. This means that Hunter's argument on it only being ritual or for "those" people doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

I've attached a document from the Anglican church that can talk about this more, and if anyone is curious on a "biblical" stance on homosexuality, its well written. Although sola scriptura (through scripture alone) isn't a part of the history of Christianity and the Catholic Church (the True Apostolic Church with foundation and Apostolic Succession to Christ and St. Peter the first pope) has ruled against gay marriage. The above is only relevant with the sola scriptura foundation.
