Success and adulation are not as addicting or desirable to him as keeping a bunch of schmucks hanging on his hypochondriac tweets so they will baby him with care.
He's never going to be ready for any kind of help. He doesn't want it. There is a point where someone could look at themselves and realize that they don't like where they are or what they've become. Spoony likes this life better than the one he had and this is made clear with the dozens if not hundreds of times he's lashed out at people trying to give advice or genuine opportunities to climb out of the hole he dug. He's like the local alcoholic who won't throw the bottle out of his life even though he's developing varicose veins in his neck. He wants to continue this forever.
Wasn't he decent at the cop game where he had the three subordinates? Not like skilled at the game (frankly I don't know or care) but making an amusing commentary that seemed to be done while playing simultaneously. I think it was more depression or insert mental illness here. I find that working honestly helps with depression. Yeah you'll have periods where you don't want to do anything, but forcing yourself to shower, go outside, whatever. That and seeing a shrink which I don't think he's done either.
She didn't take much issue with it as much as Allison blew it out of proportion. Marz would've blocked Spoony years ago if she felt he was an actual predator. Plus these "feminist" types often secretly love bondage roleplay.
Nobody at all from CA holds a grudge or gives a shit about the rape joke fiasco. The only person who's unable to get away from it is - ironically - Spoony, because he regrets falling out of touch with the only peer group that accepted him in his adult life.
That was SWAT 4 and I think some of them are considered his better videos. That was at a point where he could turn poor play into comedy. He even edited the footage into montages, added music, etc. And it wasn't streaming, either. He had no impetus to interact with anyone directly, only through the video itself... which is a better medium for him, I think.
