Fallout: The Frontier - Done, and it's a hilarious shitshow

I wanna disagree , isnt tales of two wastes pretty much just connecting the worlds? how could they fuck that up realistically?
The project itself is well done and pretty much complete but the retards behind it are dramawhores somewhat

The last big thing is the 3.3 release which is more or less being held back by the "team" being burnt out and sperging at the fallout community for being autistic ad infinitum lol

They are modders what did you expect , all of em all spergs to some degree , at least how the mod works doesn't leave itself open to much fuckin up

The Frontier rework is prolly gonna be trash lol

The lead dev is sperg fighting in other discords about how shit worked or didnt work in other mods, might collect more ments from the TTW discord if they are worthy of a laugh or two, one Fallout 4 modder was shitting on them hard lol

All in all, it seems like the team lead tgspy didnt learn anything and is stuck in the mentality that half of the people wtf-ing at the degeneracy are all 4chin sneed and feed ops

Lets see in 7 more years if it turns out true lmao, any bets on what other fetishes will be sneaked in?, my bet is alien girldicks tbh

Am I the degenerate? No it must be everyone else projecting.

Jesus, makes me wonder what kind of illegal shit got put in some of these people mods, image the possibility of having a obscure/innocuous COC cell that has cheese pizza or similar stuff in it. All the recent modding controversies have shown me that this is a distinct possiblity.

Honestly if something that drastic was put in it would be piss easy to just data mine it in the GECK tools created for modding the game itself, things ingame can be hidden by scripts and shit but the raw texture files are pretty easy to find within the mods, unless they are packed, in that case you just unpack em

For me, the NCR's situation always reminded me of Vietnam/Iraq/Afghanistan: fighting in a far-flung shithole against a guerilla force that's always one step ahead of them, suffering from logistical and bureaucratic ineptitude that cripples their ability to operate effectively, reviled and occasionally attacked by the locals, all for the ever-nebulous causes of "defending demograzy" and "muh oil dam".

It's a little bit of column A and column B; the NCR is a nicer, more incompetent version of Caesar's Legion which is sinking under red tape, and it was also made as an Iraq allegory since they're sending thousands of men to die in a foreign shithole fighting over something that would have little effect in the life of the average NCR citizen.
It's not exactly the same - the NCR is receiving over 90% of the power generated from the dam, so it's a pretty critical asset for them.

I do get some keks at their expense when people ask the same 20 bug related questions again and again without bothering to Google it first.

Edit almost double posted oops

Meanwhile, the Legion campaign and the House campaign only have a few problems for you to fix. At most, maybe you'll have to fix a few errands for them, like helping Vulpes with his contacts in New Vegas and McCarran, but for the most part, they've got things under control. The NCR, however, even if you win Hoover Dam for them, it's the equivalent of fixing a broken-down ship with duct tape. They won the First Battle of Hoover Dam, and it only became worse for them, not better. What's to say that they won't squander the second victory that they get? Or even a third?

The problems with the NCR stem from its red-tape bureaucracy and its disorganized nature which invites infighting, which the Courier CANNOT fix. You can fix the problems in New Vegas by working for House or replacing him. You can fix the problems for the Legion by saving Caesar from his brain tumor and doing enough good deeds that he names you his successor. You cannot fix the NCR, even after winning New Vegas for them, since you do not fix the source of their problems. Even if you run for the NCR Presidency and win, chances are, if you try to "reform" too many things, the Brahmin Barons, landowners, and NCR political elite might bankroll a rebellion against you anyways for "rocking the boat", and they might even turn the NCR military against you.
A lot of that IMO is the fact that they didn’t have a lot of time. I felt like the ncr got the most attention by developers because it’s the faction most tied to the first two fallout games which they made. I’d argue that the Legion isn’t doing so hot either because they’re moving a lot of their forces from Denver to Las Vegas and you even have an opportunity to convince Cesars right hand man that they are stretched too thin as well. IMO the legion is eventually going to rip itself apart into smaller kingdoms much like the kingdom of Alexander the Great.

That, and if the Dam is lost, the Legion can invade California next. So it's more than just a critical asset-it's the doorstop of the NCR.

There's also a sense of creator's pet going on with them. The NCR Veteran Ranger is at the front of the box of the game, aside from Yes-Man, they're the most obvious "good guy" faction in the game, and Obsidian got their missions done first before they ran out of time.

Having played both campaigns, from the NCR perspective, things are going horribly, but from the Legion perspective, things are going well. Sure, you're a little bit stretched thin, but so long as Caesar's alive (if you saved him) and you win this battle, eventually the Legion will correct itself. Whereas even if you did everything for the NCR and saved their asses, well, they won before already, and squandered it. They might fuck up again in the future. Whereas with the Legion, the ending implies that Caesar made the Courier his heir by putting the Courier's face in the money, which is the old Roman way of indicating the next in line for the throne. After wiping out a platoon of power-armored freaks, assassinating the NCR president, and winning the Second Battle for Hoover Dam, it'll be hard to argue against the Courier being the next Caesar, especially since the first already spilled the beans on how the Legion was formed and how it works to the Courier.

And God only knows how long it would take before the law starts intervening personally. They already intervened with that whole EA BATTLEFRONT 2/gambling thing, modders passing around CP would definitely give Uncle Sam another excuse to expand and intervene on things like this.

I'm betting on a child love interest that is "ackshully 10000 years old". I'm also betting on diaper fetishism
And I'm also betting on more bestiality and foot-fetish stuff.

I suppose when there's already too many mods with vanilla sex and BDSM, some modders felt the need to strike out and make something unique.

They really did feel like the favored faction. I wish the legion was fleshed out more… and Yes Man too.

I just love how much they are throwing some niggers under the bus lol, even funnier that they went from most hyped bethesda game mod, to laughing stock, to having 0 engagement on their tweets lmao (no screenshot because im on mobile sorry)

Big iron. Biiiiig iron~~
And guess which NPCs have the BIG IRON? The Veteran Rangers.

The Legion was supposed to be more fleshed out, but I suppose Obsidian was too busy finishing every sidequest for the NCR before they could flesh out the Legion. But they could easily have released a comic, novel, or a guide that would have fleshed out the faction.

Yes Man is just Yes Man, he's your toady, and he controls Vegas for you. I don't know how they could have fleshed him out, aside from maybe adding in some hints that he MIGHT betray you one day.

I'll never understand wanting storyline mods made by bigger retards than modern game developers. I stick to bugfixes, graphics and content restoration and call it a day.
it can be good, but like most "fan" works not worth digging through all the shit just to find a gem.
I think it’s plausible but it has to be a smaller scale and I’d argue smaller team. Even large projects hypothetically could be carried out with the right leadership. A lot of young and inexperienced people start out with too broad of a scope. Projects that invite everybody in seem to be very likely to go off the rails whereas if it’s just a couple people doing everything except for the voices it’s less likely to go astray.

Nah, Bethesda made them release early to meet projections. They also didn't teach them how to use the engine properly if I remember right... anyways, Obsidian always gets shafted by publishers. Always.

That said, they can go fuck themselves with the team they have now. Can't write for shit.

There's no way they can keep their spaghetti under control long enough to keep bullshit out of the remade NCR MQ. I remember the Enclave = Trump supporter shit from the original mod was something they were incredibly proud of. They thought they were so fucking clever and no one had ever called Trump voters Nazis before.

Support fallout Miami and Fallout London before this trash. At the very least those projects seem not to be run by total retards.

Also the Fallout Miami devs confirmed you can indeed join the Enclave.

But as I said, they could have released a book or a comic later on that fleshed out the Legion. They did have comics for New Vegas, after all.

Oh, that's true, for certain. If New Vegas was made now, they'd make Robert Edwin House a complete moron because he's a capitalist.

I'll only support Fallout Miami if Governor DeSantis' head in a jar is a companion.
