Michael Alex Yiik is in trouble and YOU gotta help us

"Look at this Alex Yiik. Every time I do, it makes me laugh."

I feel like that title needs an “again”.
God I forgot how tedious the Essentia dungeon was, what was the point of wasting the player's time with all these summary stories by the "parallel lives" if the Essentia is just fucking lying anyways.

Like, it's not even a good twist, it's just a twist that you have wasted the player's time. However, I have a feeling that it's a relic from the original cut ending where Alex and the Essentia were seperate, which just makes it worse as they still left all the padding in even after a change like that.

Anyways, they should be reaching the end of the dungeon next episode, which is a doozy in and of itself, the training segment also begins shortly after the dungeon, so that'll be fun to watch the boys suffer through.

Almost every major plot run is a pointless waste of time. What does Rory’s sister have in connection to Sammi? Nothing, he wa lying and it did nothing. What will we find at the end of the long journey for the record? Nothing, turns out Alex didn’t look at record properly and you ran around for nothing! What’s the point of seeing all of Essentia’s past lives? Nothing, she’s lying anyway! What’s the point of training and grinding for a month to fight the comet? Nothing, everyone except Alex dies and is erased from existence! What’s the point of gathering an alternate version of Alex and friends to fight the true boss? Nothing, turns out the really final boss was you and everything was a lie! What’s the point of taking on your proto-self? Nothing! It’s a scripted loss and all you do is pull two switches to end the game!

You don't even get the fucking grocery list back.

Not only that but Alex's "character arc" is supposed to be about him learning to be humble and realize he's not the center of the universe... only for the story to reveal he really is the center of the universe.

People can try and string it as subversion of expectations or whatever but you don't put this much effort into making an intentionally bad game.
