Some of that pussy would be a reasonable, even understandable motivation. Even if you're going about it like a little bitch like Bob would, I get it. I don't condone it, but I get it.
I thought that for a while - but I've changed my mind. He thinks these people are his contemporaries. He talks to and about these folks like they get together and crush cans while watching the Packers game every weekend. I think we all remember this defining moment:

Okay, I've spent the last 5+ days vacillating between furious, sad, depressed, and vengeful regarding the resurgence of Covid, though I guess it hasn't really resurged as much as "never gone away." If you are friends with me, and you haven't been vaccinated, and you have questions or concerns about it, please reach out to me and I will do my best to calm your fears.
I truly believe the only way this is going to end is if enough people are vaccinated that Covid doesn't have enough hosts. Until then, it is going to continue to mutate and change and eventually the current vaccines will not be protective against it.
Common concerns:
-rapidity of vaccine development - There are four big reasons why this was able to come together so quickly. First, scientists have been working on mRNA vaccines for A DECADE and were able to adapt existing technology to use here. Second, billions of dollars was thrown at this at the same time because everyone wanted to solve this problem as fast as possible. Generally, vaccine development is slower due to lack of financing, that was not the case here. Third, similarly to #2, a ton of companies all started working on this at the same time. Labs all over the earth jumped to it, partly due to financing being available and partly due to WANTING TO SOLVE THIS.
-the vaccine will cause me to get Covid/change my DNA/cause Covid mutations - no. This is not how vaccines work. These vaccines do not contain any Covid particles, so there is no way for them to "give" you covid. People feel sick for a day or two after because your immune system is functioning well. They cannot change your DNA - the particles in it do not even go into the nucleus, which is where DNA lives. The mRNA is instructions for how to make a protein that is displayed on the surface of our cells, this protein resembles a protein on the Covid virus and triggers our immune system to make antibodies against things that look like the protein. The reason that the vaccine could become ineffective is that if Covid mutates to the point where it does not display the same protein, our immune system will not recognize it any longer. The immunization cannot cause Covid mutations - covid mutations can only occur when a person is infected with virus and the virus itself mutates during the replication process. This happens ALL THE TIME with viruses and is the reason you get colds multiple times/year and we have to have flu shots annually. Sometimes these mutations are useless - they don't change the virus in any way - and sometimes they make it more infectious, more transmissible, or able to cause other symptoms.
- MAH FREEEEEEDOM - Sorry, the only response I have to this is "stop being a selfish asshole." This has nothing to do with freedom. This has to do with stopping a pandemic that has killed hundreds of thousands of people. Maybe you will be next (and no, I'm not being dramatic)? And even if you don't die of it, you really don't want any of the long-term effects that can occur even with MILD or ASYMPTOMATIC illness.

Re: the first point. I expect a family nursing practitioner to know about clinical trials? People are not overly concerned how rapid was the lab phase of vaccine development is; people are concerned that Big Pharma, with governmental blessing, is using the whole population in the world in the largest Phase 3 Trial in history -- and people are being roped into the trial without meaningful consent (and no: "you can choose to get the vaccine or you can choose to lose your job" isn't "consent".)
Delta originated in India in late 2020, well before the global vaccine craze started -- and even to this day India is woefully short of vaccines. And it turns out that the existing vaccines is extremely ineffective against Delta infections -- I grant that the "wait-and-see" crowd have won this round.

Your local nurse practitioner isn't a doctor. Your local doctor is probably a GP, not a virologist. This is anecdotal evidence on par with words of wisdom from your health teacher in high school.
What we do have is data from virologists with a lengthy knowledge of disease. What does the evidence say? It says the Delta variant is twice as infectious, but the mortality rate decreases from 1.9% to 0.3% with lesser symptoms. So... how does natural selection work? What does this mean? What does the fucking science tell you, mouthy Chipman motherfucker?
It means that the deadly strain has been so effectively treated that the surviving strain is a mutation. That's a good sign, dipshit. Grandstand and give out medals all you want for getting jabbed, but don't treat your local NP as some kind of authority because evidently she didn't pass eighth grade biology.

I think his hatred for DC is warring with love of Gunn. He'd never give Gunn a negative review at this point, especially not after investing so much of his self worth into the man.

What would truly kill Bob and force him to find someone else to vicariously live through to stave off killing himself would be if Gunn pulls a Kevin Smith and just starts making utterly shit movies repeatedly; that failure was why Bob had to change psychological pins despite his desperate desire to keep some elements of them like the pretending to be a Gen X'er and stuff.
