Chris is a barely functioning individual with a history of violence that has led to people being maced, hit by his car, them cutting open their own taint, and them raping their dementia addled mother. Chris is unable to care for Barb, and even if he had a job he wouldn't be given custody of her again as, I'll say it again; he raped her.

Chris thinks it's perfectly fine to have sex with his elderly mother, hasn't had a job in 2 decades, and believes themselves to be literally a diety from a computer, that his imaginary world is about to merge with the real one, and that his deceased father became a poorly drawn cartoon character. Chris requires constant supervision at this point as he is a liability to his own health both physically and mentally, and he's a danger to the general public. If Chris were put in a mental facility permanently where they would be provided with round the clock supervision, it would be for his own safety and the safety of the public.

Chris' mental deterioration is a sad story, but him being placed in a permanent care mental health facility would be better than putting this mentally unstable person in the general prison population. His life would finally be given some structure, and he'd be put through various therapies to finally be brought out of their delusions

Consider this. Chris goes to jail for a year..... then what? Barb is unable to care for him or herself for that matter, his house is mortgaged out the ass, filled with garbage, and all avenues of credit have been maxed out. He has no work history, is unable to be in contact with his mother as her rapist, and no other caregivers as Cole sure as hell isn't touching this shit, and I don't blame him. So, what? Chris gets out of jail and becomes homeless when the banks take the house? Does that sound like a better ending; Chris unsupervised to die in the gutter?

There was several posts on the previous threads that explained that the psycho-murderers are not put in the same block with the lesser/petty but well behaved criminals, Chris will be fine but its very possible that other inmates will scam his ass out of any earnings he makes inside the prison
