The only way GW could guarantee everyone who pre orders (from their site) gets a box is if the entire thing is made to order. The main selling point isn’t even the game of kill team itself but the plastic kriegsman and ork commandos, It’s a bit like the last box set which had plastic flayed ones and finally released heavy intercessors.
On the plus side at least the models aren’t push fit.
There seems to be confusion with the killteam boxes. But I'll explain it. Preorders open this Saturday, and will stay open for the month. they have a set number of boxes sitting in warehouses. The orders are first come first serve, if you're quick enough you will get those boxes already made. If not you're on a made to order list.

It's a good idea really.

Just realized my Forgefiend makes little sense in a Purge warband. But oh well.

One of these days I'm going to play a combined Purge/Scourged army, the ultimate blackpill of Chaos.
Just say your warband uses the black templar logic.
The forgefiend (psykers needed to navigate the ships) will be purged last.

I bought a vampire lord mini, it’s going on a 80mm base for a “counts as Void Dragon” but for lore accuracy and a bit of visual storytelling the C’tan itself is gonna be on a pedestal, visually worshipped by some easy to build Necrons and behind this grandiose altar I’m gonna put a small gold-skinned humanoid doing a “spell casting” pose with the implication that their shard of the Flayer is actually one of the Deceiver.
Neat idea (I would have used one of the mortarchs or that new half vampire dragon sigmar has)

I’ve been experimenting with non-GW minis, the gold humanoid (Deceiver) is from Manufaktura Miniatures, normally they churn out coomer shit but their grasp on anatomy is on point, in this case I filed off the genitalia, attached his iconic horns and have broken out the sculpting tools to sculpt the robes.

Also, best source for Dark Eldar captives hands down.

Iirc they said that preorders will be open for the rest of August.

tl;dr: Every preorder this weekend will be honored. Sounds like they're planning on going immediately into print on demand or for a second printing.

So I’m gonna make a Necron dynasty, nobles will be modeled after that metal AF armor from Dracula, in their mortal life they worshipped the Flayer, in their deathless state their mechanical bodies are monuments to the dead god and all dynasty members bear fanged skulls to cement this.
Must have been awkward when the Necrons killed The Flayer.

There are to major "eras" for setting. There is 30k and 40k
And in between we had the War of the Beast and the Age of Apostacy.
War of the Beast wasn't that good of a series I hear, and I don't believe we have a series on the Age of Apostacy.

Less scare mongering and more the logical consequences of multiple basement dwellers who think they are intelligent sticking a 3d printer in their living space without any ventillation.
Because spray painting, airbrushing, or cutting foam with hot wire isn't "dangerous". Open a fucking window if you're so worried about it.

Look, I was exposed to god knows how many Testors model glue fumes as a kid assembling model kits with my dad, and I turned out okay. Well, maybe not that okay since I'm posting here, but all us kiwis have some level of brain damage, right?

Enamel paints are terrible, gets even worse when you add paint thinner to it. Also, what about all of the plastic cement we've all used? I use a black plastic cement and that shit is terrible to smell and breathe in and I have asthema. I still use the stuff, I still cut all my foam with hot wire cutters, I still touch all of the various thermal plastics I use with my bare hands. I just have good ventilation in my rooms. Live life man, you only got one.

How? The Purge aren’t anti-pysker; they just want to kill all life. Their lexicanum article points out that they used daemon engines during the Siege of Vraks.

No, I mean Forgefiends make no sense with the Purge special rules, since they only affect Infantry and Helbrutes, it seems. It's much more efficient to max out on Havocs instead. I don't care, though, because a Forgefiend w/ Hades autocannons is one of my favorite minis in 40k. I can still make it work, so long as I lead off with the FF in the shooting phase.

Yeah, lead off with it and make sure it splits fire. Give it the ectoplasma cannon mouth, cast the pyschic power to give it +1 invul and the nurgle power that gives -1 to hit against the forgefiend and it'll be a great turn 1 or 2 distraction while the rest of your army nabs objectives.

The real kicker is that we tried the non-toxic stuff and it simply wouldn't bind the plastic at all. Was worthless. Spinning vision is a small price to pay for model planes that won't collapse under their own weight.

I remember getting the cheap stuff from Walmart back in the day to use on a model plane. Couldn't hold the wings together it would cure white and was pretty crusty. It was like working with hot glue. It might have done a better job with a bonding agent but back then there wasn't any I was aware of as a kid. I doubt you could even use the stuff as sprue goo.

Well, this was a long time ago in a place far, far away called the 90's when warning labels were considered suggestions, so I was lucky. Also had some actual hobby stores nearby, not just WalMarts, so I could get the good stuff.

I lived in a small town in the 90's. All we had was a WalMart for supplies. Our comic book store had comics, cards (super hero stuff), and used books/ vinyl's. Couldn't get into Magic the Gathering and Warhammer until I moved. I was lucky to even see AD&D books.

Ooof. Feels bad man. I'd say my heart goes out to ya, but I just gave you a rating so that will have to do.

I don't think those games were even a thing in my area where I lived, but when I moved I had like five LCS to go to with three of them also being the LGS, two GW stores and one of which was a prominent store at it's location where thousands of people would pass it every day. Pretty sure if I stayed where I was it wouldn't be until the mid or late 2000's to get into those games.

As a melee focused player. Going to a Kabal has been a big change. But I think made a nice mean list for their first match. Gotta say, having a party bus raider with 10 trueborn equiped with a dark lance, splinter racks, and blasters is really fucking good.

I do have my archon rolling with a squad of incubi in a venom too, so at least I'll feel at home with them.

All the crazy movement dark eldar have is also a big change from my custodes and angels.
