Doom Patrol

I guess I just want a third season because I enjoy the writing and the chemistry the cast has, they all really do feel like a big loving dysfunctional family. Everyone's story does seem to be speeding up and will wrap up by the end of the season (Assuming season 2 is 15 episodes again). If they make another season, great, if not I won't be upset (As long as season 2 continues being good).

Onto this weeks episode, I enjoyed it. There are some nice visuals in this episode. The look of the moon was oddly beautiful for something so simple, it reminded me of a school play, which is fitting for Dorothy and Rita's story this episode. Also, did something happen to Dorothy's spider friend? Candle guy says he's all she has and spider bro hasn't shown up since Sex Patrol. I just want to see the fun giant spider again.

I really liked this weeks episode and this season overall while not a novel as the first still is finding ways to impress me.

I really enjoyed the absolute absurdity of the plot line this week, and also the reference to Mr. Nobody getting a gig as a VA for Harley Quinn

Well last Friday Doom Patrol S2 ended with nary a fanfare.

It was strange. There was still great stuff in it and I'd recommend it with confidence. But it didn't quite have the punch of S1. Apparently Covid restrictions interfered badly with it and the writers, and it was the right choice, imo, chose to end the season on an incomplete cliffhanger rather than hack around with what they wrote any more. So rather than a disatisfying hatchet job of an end, we get no end.

It's a shame, though not their fault. The cast were still great all the way through and I liked Cliff and Rita the most. The woman playing Dorothy also did an excellent job. The writing was more sympathetic to Crazy Jane this season I think, because I liked her a lot more this time around.

Wait are they really ending it there? Wow that sucks.

I might not have been clear. There's supposed to be a Season 3 though where it will air, I don't know. But yes, Season 2 pretty much just stops like a regular episode. Actually, with less resolution than a regular episode. Didn't even feel like a cliff-hanger finale and had me double checking to make sure.

Yeah just read about it, still sucks I would have preferred to wait rather than this but oh well time to wait for season 3.

We're getting the Brain and Mallah!.
Looks like they are going very heavy into the bizarre nature of the show which is nice, separates it from other shows of this type.

Aye it's a very distinctive feel. And it was a very bizarre comic run too so it's playing the source material fairly straight.

Oh fuck yes.

@Morethanabitfoolish its pretty easy to embed a video. All you have to do is go above the text box and click to the right of the portrait. Then if you click the portrait to the right of the camera with a plus inside you can drop the link. Hope this helps ;)

I wonder if we're going to get this scene

I would say Ron Perlman would be a perfect fit for Mallah; his French is actually pretty fucking good, despite being a complete and utter tool.
