Mental health issues are entire personalities for some people. For example; all the people who claim to be bipolar and post about it online ad nauseum. Attention seeking behaviour like that is also a form of mental illness but one that's symptomatic of too much social media use.IMO I would say it exists if you have major issues like Schizophrenia or major learning disabilities, but does not if you happen to be borderline/undiagnosed. But I'm not really sure what the fix is - as I ended up feeling the "help" was more depressing than just learning to deal with it.
I mean tbf when it comes to depression or anxiety, I think some books are better than the "Therapy" you'll get on the NHS anyway. CBT does work but yes you have to be willing to put in the leg work to fix your shit rather than expecting pills or some magic formula to do the trick. In a best case scenario it might help pinpoint why you have the sadbrains and stabilize you (assuming the side effects are not worse than the original issue) but Therapy often just felt like a vent session with rarely much good advice on where to go from current position.
Mind's approach is a social media service for people who have anxiety issues, which turns out to be mostly people whining about how awful life is and then getting dinged by moderation for trigger terms anyway. Hard to have a happy positive space that helps people when the community entirely consists of people that struggle with that and then encourage each other to wallow in the misery pool with them.
Davisons YouTube uploads seemed like his way to vent and cope. They're not on the same level as say Elliott Roger where you can see the sociopathic madness plainly. I think he held back a lot of his darker thoughts.
He worked construction and lamented his lack of pussy. If he'd have gotten some shit kicker office/call centre job he'd have gotten his dick wet with some office trim and realised life isn't all about the pursuit of china. Although he'd have probably just gone postal anyway upon completion of his love quest when he realised that his life was still just as hollow.
I get offing family and adults, but why did he have to shoot up little kids?
Looks like gun licensing background checks in this country are just as sloppy as in the colonies.
