Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

Here is an idea for Cold War.

So the numbers have been broadcast and sleeper agents are waking up.

Reznov operator pack.

Player using it sees Reznov. Hears Reznov voice. Everyone else sees Mason and hears Mason saying the quotes

I don't buy operators but that'd be the one to make me think about it.

So ill give Sledgehammer ONE last chance with this game.

COD WW2 turned into a tolerable title after they revamped everything after kicking an asshole director out however it was too late and the damage was done. This game also being in MW engine is promising too on top of the info about doors becoming destructible and it will come to Warzone. I mostly want a new Warzone map people act like WW2 guns wont work in warzone but forget MW2019 had 2 WW2 era guns in its rosters with one even being quite a meta sniper rifle. Cold War multiplayer just does not feel right to me after playing the new engine.

If games a sledgehammer flop again then we have MW2 (2) in 2022......

Yet everyone of these were okay with BOCW merged with MW'19 Warzone that fucked things up a lot.

Nah, they bitched about that too.

It's almost like these retards don't realize that Warzone is a fucking video game. A battle royale video game at that.

Vanguard is going to be fucking shit, don't get your hopes up. Every single time a leak has come out it's been "next cod is WW2 and the development is going so horribly they might be skipping a year"

Tom Henderson has also suddenly changed tune on vanguard and even deleted his tweet saying it was a dumpster fire.

Not saying your wrong but either way gotta wait.

To be honest, I'm kinda rooting for this game since people seem to sincerely believe that Battlefield will "dominate" it.

The arrogance is one thing, but I'm genuinely confused about why people have forgotten about how DICE treated Battlefield V. From the disastrous reveal trailer, hostility towards criticism, buggy launch, abandoned BR mode, sparse content drops, crippling TTK updates, undermining the setting with "elite" characters, and them abruptly dropping it & Battlefront II (this one especially pissed me off since Battlefront is still very active, it deserved a better send off than a port of the Scariff map), I feel that DICE has to work to earn my trust back with 2042.

Not that I don't believe Vanguard had a rough development, but Sledgehammer hasn't alienated me like DICE had.

Halo infinite looks better than 2042 have you seen the technical test leaks?

Yeah man, I think I'm just going to wait for word of mouth on 2042.

It being an online only title is already a red flag, given DICE's somewhat spotty reputation for online stability.

Also does anyone know if the beginning of the season just brings about hackers or if the SBMM literally gets fucked up or reset at the start of the season?

Cause I'm in nothing but lobbies where I'm at the top of my team, but still get absolutely gang raped by the other team. Same thing happened last season which is why I didn't even get around to playing it until the mid season mark.

I literally got myself stuck in map terrain in the Overgrown part of the map.

I'll pay 24 dollars for this operator in Vanguard, Sledgehammer.

My rant on CoD fanboys being retards and not being able to understand gameplay-narrative disconnect was lost :(
All my stickers , gone in a flash.

the pro tip to cods story line is "if its a numbered sequel to a previous cod , its canon to that story , if it isnt shut the fuck up"
