PC Port is still dogshit. Or perhaps I am referring to 2. Also, 3rd is arguably the weakest of the series.

That would be 2. Supposedly the latest patch on the GoG version fixes performance issues.

No way is 3 the weakest. 4 felt like half baked DLC (because it was) and was just fly to point ->complete mission-> repeat. Having superpowers at all times made it real clear just how small and empty the world was. 3 felt much more coherent and took parody of GTA as far as it could go.

I was excited too with The Professional.

I can't quite explain it, but there's something with zoomer culture coupled with corporate diversity that just screams hollow. That style of humor is obnoxious. Cringe.

I don't want to see social media behavioral tropes in media when I witness that every damn day. Even worse, it's soulless writing of how their target audience acts. And they eat it up.

Reboots rarely work in today's society because of that catering to a social media homogenized society. It's distractingly shallow in practice as it is in reality.

I'm sorry, I'm just downright disappointed in the direction entertainment is going in almost every aspect. Video games are suffering more because of the need to monetize every aspect for a short attention span audience.

This is more on the western audience. The eastern audience however are more conditioned to spend money on a whim, even on a simple jpeg.

Also, I've always thought Saints Row was taking the gangster life of GTA San Andreas but without the serious undertone.

The worst thing are these writers who seem too self-conscious to pass off anything as serious. Everything is "ironic", "tongue-in-cheeck", "purposefully bad" etc. It's basically the Borderlands school of writing, where anything a character says has to be followed with some reddit tier remarks to make sure you totally didn't think the writers thought it was a cool thing to say or anything...

Gangs and bosses usually worked their way from poor, impoverished places filled with poverty and violence that (almost) made them a product of their environment.

They would dislike and possibly kill those mentioned in the bold part because they live in a very lucky, privileged environment.
