Every year they get more and more pissed because the games aren't aging up with them. They're hitting their late 20s and 30s and going harder and harder into some autistic shit with every iteration, but the games and all the media surrounding them stay essentially the same every year (and have been since the 1990s) because Nintendo and Gamefreak don't care. Pokemon makes billions of dollars. They'll put out some Pokemon Go spin-off/tie-in game since 10-year olds have iphones now and /vp/ can eat shit.

The SJW mods routinely shit it up themselves, deliberately let garbage hang around (like the incessant cuck porn threads), and delete popular threads just to be dicks. /v/ has slightly worse mods but it's mostly that they're a bunch of fucking idiots. /pol/ is treated like shit deliberately.

Considering 8/pol/ is little different I doubt its just some do-it-for-free conspiracy. /pol/ always had excuses for its reputation - shills, mods, newfags, because it was always shit in the first place. Its a containment board for people who ruined /news/, after all.
