I posted this on April 22nd, when a user said that no doctor will ever prescribe hormones to Chris:
"We don't know about that. There's a few clinics which do informed consent in his area. One galpal at the local LGBT bar could give him tips and tricks on how to get hormones. Before you know it, Chris will post pics of his manboobs as proof that the hormones work."
One of the side-effects of hormones and specifically for those on high-blood pressure is DVT. Deep Vein Thrombosis(DVT) is an extraordinarily deadly blood clot that forms in the legs. It also doesn't help that Chris is obese and taking hormones with high-blood pressure. It's one of those silent deadly tranny killers, that the trans community glosses over.

I thought it would be impossible for him to get hormones because he's on SSI, in debt, and that hormones are restricted to those who are serious and "fit" for them! Apparently, I was wrong! Now I'm terrified of what this will do to him physically and mentally.

Men have low levels of endogenous estrogens. Ovarian tissue isn't the only tissue that produces estrogens, and estrogens don't just affect secondary sex characteristics.
Ding ding ding, we have a winner. This is due to aromatase, which converts androgens (e.g. testosterone) to estrogens. Aromatase is found in many tissues, including adipose tissue, a.k.a. fat. With Chris in mind, that pretty much says it all.
Everybody's female early in development, ergo everyone has breast tissue - it's just a lot smaller in men (about the size of a nickel). This combined with how adipose produces estrogen, is why obese men are more prone to getting gynecomastia ("bitch tits") and pseudogynecomastia (fat deposits around the breasts).
Possibly, but the endocrine system has feedback systems that are meant to restore and balance hormone levels. If Chris is really taking estradiol, his fertility will be reduced, but once he gets off them, his fertility should go back up.
For transmen who kept their female reproductive organs, there is an increased risk of infertility and complications with an increased duration of hormone replacement therapy, but it's still possible for them to become pregnant.
I doubt that Chris being a few months on some off label drug (that might not even be estrogenic) will cause the same complications as years of HRT.

Huh, really? I'm not exactly shocked, but I assumed that his earlier desperation to get sperm banked was because he knew about hormones' effects on fertility and was already thinking about hormones. Was he just completely jumping the gun and thinking about surgery?
Even assuming surgery was on his mind might be a little optimistic. For all I know, Chris could have imagined the transition to be a giant cartoon machine he'd walk into, patiently wait while the technician turns a dial from BOY to GIRL and the chamber fills with pink smoke, and walk out as Lovely Weather.

I think that chris is legitimately transgender and will be happier as woman, I think that the only reason why we haven't seen her as a transwoman is because she is so autistic and otherwise unhealthy

I've been wondering this myself. Kim's comment may have just been a very roundabout way of saying, "Damn you have huge manboobs." With the added bonus of putting Chris in a position to either confirm or deny taking hormones.
Which seems unusually clever for Chris's Facebook crew, but since the alternative is Chris fucking around with hormones, I'll take it.

Does anyone find it really disconcerting how easily available these hormone therapies are? Chris is the fourth jobless transgendered person I know of off hand who can afford these therapies. I am not saying they are unnecessary for the psychological wellbeing of those who believe themselves to be a man or a woman, nor am I saying they should be available only to those with money - I'm just saying, priorities, (wo)man.

He doesn't look like a drag queen. Drag queens do a LOT better job with their hair and makeup, and they're much better with picking and choosing their clothes. As I said before, if Chris is actually hanging out with drag queens IRL, he should be taking notes.
